BILL OF NON-RIGHTS

SCOOTERDOG

Recommended Posts

The following has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA. This guy should run for President. "We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people! are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights."

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom

for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch

potatoes

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or

kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or

services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from.

(lastly....)

ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history! , and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!!!!

If you agree, share this with a friend. No, you don't have to, and nothing tragic will befall you if you don't. I just think it's about time common sense is allowed to flourish.

Not only kinda funny, but to the point

Funny? I don't find it funny at all. It's very true and I think a lot of people need to take it very seriously. To many phuckos in this country that take advantage of what they have without fully understanding just how good they have it here.

Please don't forget that this is NOT our country. We stole it by killing and imprisoning the NATIVE Americans. Please don't forget that this BECAME an English speaking country after WE immigrated here and brought the language from overseas, just as other immigrants are doing. And please keep the god crap to yourself.

The above rant is my OPINION, and directed at the fool who drafted the original article, not any of you. I do agree with a lot of the other points, but please keep your arrogance and ignorance to yourself.

Curmudgeon -

I'm not interested in arguing with you. You are welcome to have different opinions than I have on how this country was obtained/founded, or any other matter. I do not believe (again my opinion), that religion or politics have a place on this forum, but we all know they prompt responses from the likes of us.

BUT!!! Since we are promised the freedom of speech we can speak our minds and since also there is no promise that you won't be offended (thank you Article II of that post) we can talk about whatever we want. I happen to be very strong in the Christian faith and if I feel the urge to talk about it, I can promise you that NOBODY will tell me I cannot. Sorry, but it urks me to no end when people are so closed minded that just because THEY don't believe in something, they want to shut someone else up about it.7.gif I'm sorry but this is a forum where people come to chat so basically, it's open to whatever (I.E. the general forum).

On a lighter note, that was a very interesting (and all too needed) document.

Professor,

You are right that you have the freedom to speak about the Christian faith in public, but the Klipsch people may rather not hear it on their forum. They are in the position to censor speech on this forum and have made a point of eliminating argumentative posts in the past. Your post is not argumentative per se, just wrong in its assumptions. Let's see who else joins in with their opinions of our country's history, religion/politics, and limits on free speech.

On a lighter note, I am enjoying this. We are all on the same team obviously, but with different coaches. If we can truly belive in one god, we must also be able to believe in one people.

And furthermore... Why is he a fool? Why don't you keep your ignorance to YOURSELF.

Oh yeah.... God God God God God God God God... You get the point.

Who's arguing? I was just making a smart-a$$ed remark.

But this news story did warm the cockles of my heart:

I am very well aware of how we took this land from the native indian. Do I think it was terrible? Sure, but what can I do about it now. Nothing. It is what it is, it's our history and there is nothing you or I can do about.

BUT, lets not forget for even a fraction of a second that we are not the only race on earth that has taken land. Humanities history is full on conquests, brutal horrible acts against humanity...

Just like the slaves... I had nothing to do with, I refuse to feel guilty about it. Do I feel that it was wrong, hell yes I do. No man has a right to take another as a slave. God gave us human rights and we should all obay them.

But since you don't seem to care much for god, them perhaps you should not receive those rights and you should well.... Eh, who cares.

Curmudgeon,

Your comment about the California school system may have implied that they taught beliefs contrary to your own, or simply that they gave students textbooks that were printed more recently than the ones you grew up with. I know nothing about the California school system or about your beliefs (or education), and that is fine. I just thought you were being confrontational, and it is my mistake if you weren't. I stated what I believe to be the truth and all are welcome to reciprocate.

One of the valuable things about this forum is the diversity of its participants, and I appreciate all of your opinions.
