This superbowl *** incident....

Mobile - you're right. Lost in all of the flap about J Jackson's boob was truly the best superbowl game I've ever seen, bar none. It may not have been the best defense ever played in a championship game, but it was certainly a very entertaining game to watch.

Gents - its not about morality or religion. Rules are rules, and if one breaks the rules they need to face the music. FCC is the body that has been appointed by we the people to manage the broadcast frequencies that, in this case, are not owned by CBS. They are owned by the public. If this were on a cable channel, no biggie. But the broadcast occured over the public airwaves, and the FCC has an obligation to enforce the rules on broadcast ethics that we the people put into place. And those rules don't allow for nudity.

If anyone on the forum doesn't like these rules, than they can exercise their freedom to petition their government to change the rules. But, until then, CBS needs to be held in account for the material that they broadcasted at halftime.

As far as all the media hype, nothing new there. Stories get overblown every day becuase the 24/7 news machines at CNN, FOX, etc, need to be fed.

Anarchist and jazman (and others of the same opinion) hit the nail on the head!

Our proud men and women are dying in Iraq, but all that seems to matter today is Janet Jackson's breast. WTF? All those responsible for the totally tasteless halftime show should be held accountable for their actions and be delt with accordingly, but it should not overshadow what's most important (as already explained by Anarchist, jazman, et al).

This nation is going to hell in a handbasket. Priorities are all screwed up when people are more excited about the last episodes of "Sex and the City" or who made it through "Survivor" as opposed to what's happening to our children, women, and our troops! Our country is the laughing stock to the world anymore...why isn't that addressed? Parents have a tough time these days protecting their kids; my hat's off to all of 'em for trying as best they can to teach them about truth and what's right, and not to sugarcoat life in today's society. America's youth is our future...let's not blow it!
