tarche
Y'all, The Legend series is being heavily discounted now that it's discontinued. The prices are low enough to make me ponder if I sould move my forte's upstairs to the bedroom (replacing the old KG2's) and plop the KLF-20 into my home theater to match my existing KLF-C7 center channel. Any opinions on the Legends (20's or 30's) vs. the Forte II? Thanks in advance. --Tom
Tony Reed
I much prefer the sound of my Chorus II's, Forte II's, and even my Quartets over my KLF 30's. They just seem to be more "musical". Can't really explain it. Just my opinion. Tony
The Tick
I agree with Tom. I prefer my Forte's to the Legend series. The Legends, especially the 20's, are missing something. The 30's come close to the Forte's but not enough to buy a pair. I am sure there are ears out there to say otherwise. Good Luck
dougdrake2
Tom - Bring home the 20's and do an A/B comparison with your Forte's, with the C7 in the center. That's the only way you'll know for sure and not lay awake nights wondering! Doug
jerohm
Forte II's are electro-mechanical morphine... once subjected, it is hard to be objective (it really IS the K61-K). I mate mine with Rotel, but I fully understand different strokes... enjoy
Cruzer
I have Chorus IIs front and KLF 20s with the C7 and they sound great to me ------------------ Cruzer

I'm planning to pick up a pair of Forte IIs (and use one of my Forte Is for a center). Will I need an intervention to break the addiction? Mikekid
Doug, for most of us, it's too late. I've recognized I have a problem but I can't find a Klipschaholics anonymous anywhere! We're goners man! I wake up every morning with the sweats and a belly ache till I turn the stereo on!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!! wuzzzer
Right now I have KLF-30s and Forte IIs. The KLF-30s definitely play louder and seem to have slightly more defined treble, but the midrange on the Forte IIs really sounds sweet. PhilMays
I should really read the dates better. I was thinking "wow, these have been discontinued for a while...Does a store have brand new vintage stuff...hmmmm"
