Allan Songer
First one to answer this correctly gets a free original Blue Note LP in VG+ condition, Jimmy Smith's "Back at the Chicken Shack" with Stanley Turrentine. Q: What was the last LP Lion and Wolff released on Blue Note before they sold the company to Liberty Records?

Allan Songer
Nope on both. Actually there were TWO records released just before the sale and even though one is generally considered to be the "last" real Blue Note, I will accept either title as a winner! Hint: Blue Note was NOTORIOUS for releasing titles out of catalog order!

Allan Songer
Remmeber--the question is the last record RELEASED by Lion and Wolff. There were a lot of sessions "in the can" that Liberty released in the years following the sale! Five more guesses and I start giving hints.
