Jhoff80- Average pair in good/excellent working condition will fetch MSRP-$750/pair, no problem. Good/Excellent condition means no visible scratches, dents, dings and works fine......I've sold 3 pair to BB members around $800/pair. These speakers have been gobbled up and now on the endangered species list (very hard to find, if not impossible).

These speakers are excellent and the closest match to the Legend line which is now discontinued. I would be very interested in trading a pair of these for KLF-10's, 20's or 30's or a KLF-C7 or a Paradigm 2200 sub or of course an SVS would be my preferred sub.

Anybody interested????

Hello to all. I've not been active in quite some time. Between work, work at home & passionate pursuits to procure more Klipsch Speakers...well you get the idea.

BLOOMIS - I have a pair of Chorus II's and an Oak KLF-C7 that I'm considering selling or making a possible trade for other Klipsch Speakers. Perhaps we can make some arrangement, if you're interested? I see you're within a few miles me.

Today I'm in a bit of a funk, wondering if passing on a pair of Black Quartets on Ebay last night was a good decision. Beside being in California, my concerns were they had a black glossy substance surrounding the outer edges of both woofers.

Must get back to household duties. Ah, the perils of being a single home owner.

I will not pay retail for a used pair of speakers, or new pair not sold through a dealer. That being said, I am not blind to the fact that these are hard to come by, and are still reguarded as the best match for some systems, so the price doesn't have to be bargain basement either.

Has anyone mounted speakers to brick before? How did they/you do it? wiring, mounting, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong...did'nt BobG make the comment while touting the upcoming "new refs" that the KSP-S6's were the best available match (not a perfect match), and that the RS-7's would match even better!

Can't compare them now, but I'm with you guys..no way I'd pay that kinda dough--even for brand new. I listened to a pair in home once. A-B'd them with my KSF-8.5's, new then that I was not a dipole kinda guy.

Anyway, to each his own

Now the new refs...I got a serious jones going on there!

Here's an example of an Academy that myram pointed out in another post. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1263334103 The seller had a "Buy It Now" option for $375.00, it's current bid is $450.00.

I'm interested in buying a pair of Quartets to replace my KG4's. Anyone know of a Black or Walnut pair for sale? I'd greatly appreciate any heads-up.

myram - I looked at the Quartet listing on Ebay that closed last night, but passed. Since you have a pair perhaps you can comment on the black glossy substance that surrounded the edges of both woofers. Can you tell me what it was and is it found on all Quartet woofers?

I appreciate any and all comments.

Wes

ShapeShifter..... Yes all the Quartets have a glossy black appearance around the woofer. I have no idea what it is, but it must just be what they used on those woofers. I purchased my Quartets last year to replace my Kg4's and it was well worth it. I sold my Kg4's for $325 thru eBay, and bought my Quartets for $305 on eBay. Both my buyer, and the person I bought from were located in Boston, MA so I drove down and delivered and picked up all in a days trip.

I saw a pair of Quartets on Yahoo classifieds, they are in Conn. and are $375.

Check it out and see what the seller has to say about them....I believe they were walnut finish.

Good Luck!

OK Guys, I surrender.....I might be a little optimistic to fetch $750-800 for a pair of brand new KSP-S6's BUT there are people on a mission to complete their Legend or Synergy system.

Again, with the recent release of the new RS-7's that might take some potential buyers out of the picture.

Bottom line, notice I am very interested in working a trade for KLF-C7, Legends or Powered Sub. I am not completely unreasonable!

Let me get back to putting these flames out on my A$$.

I will post selling prices just for fun...

Myram, I am not familiar with the KG .5's, KG 3.2's or KV-3.....Although I may be interested. I will check Klipsch Main Home page for info. regarding these speakers. Would be interested in where I could get more info on them.

Brett.....

They are all listed under the "classic" listings. From the main Klipsch page, go to "home audio" and then "classic", from there you will get a long list of speakers. You can get pictures of most speakers, and specs on all of them there.

Send me a PM or email if you decide this is something we can work out.

Let there be no doubt that the S-6's are great surrounds. Also, they are not dipoles. And they are not 5 or 6 year old speakers. They were built from 97-99(check

the Classic section if you want to)I believe.

I personally have the Synergy Premiere speakers and I CAN tell you this: Add these surrounds to the matching fronts and center and the package comes together in a big way.
