ohknats
Well my father finally broke down and is going to let me have his Belle's. The wife isnt very happy though because of the size of the them. But they will sound great with my Forte II's. He bought them along time ago and the speaker numbers are OL-341,342. How do I determine how old these are? Can someone please help. Thanks, Ohknats
Audible Nectar
I think you are giving us a part of the number. You may have something like "BK-WO L341" etc. I believe the "L" is the key here....should be from 1973.

Like a letter in between. i.e 111?341 & 112?342 OL= Oak Laquer JJ
ohknats
The type is: BKWO and for the serials: OL-
DoubleJ
Then, A.N. is correct.. They are '73's. Nice pick-up. Since I don't have a WAF problem, someone else will have to give you advice on that. Here is a site I use in determining Date codes.. http://home.earthlink.net/~ivol/klipsch_cornwall/klipsch_date_codes.htm JJ
Audible Nectar
If your wife doesn't like the look of Belle Klipsch, then that's a definite problem.....in my opinion, it's the prettiest speaker Klipsch ever made. PWK made the Belle for his then wife (also named Belle) as a pretty version of the LaScala.
DoubleJ
The only thing I can think of is playing the 'Family Heir Loom' trump card. Good Luck!!! JJ

Doc Robin
Hello Guys: I have a line on a triple set of Belle's that have OL- and ON- for the start of the serial numbers with 3 digits after each of these. What would be a fair market value of these? They are in walnut and the pictures look very good. The other big plus is that they are within driving distance about 7 hrs each way. Thanks for any input Bill
JohnA
I'd say $1000 each. Belles are rare and the EBay prices are all over the place.
magicsky
congrats on your Belles. You have a 1973 set and the way you tell is starting in 1962 Klipsch assigned a different letter starting with A for each year thereafter progressing thru the alphabet skipping the O and the Q Therefore the letter L is the 12th letter in the alphabet so just add 12 to 1962 and there you have it. 1973 ENJOY

I just looked at my Belle's and they are BKWO OL-366 and OL-367 - practically twins of Ohknats!
