If you sold your Klipsch speakers but,

kept all your existing cables, amps, etc....what speakers would you look at next ?

The reason why I ask this question is that a few weeks ago, I posted a for sale on here of my Klipsch Klf-30's in the Central Florida area, and one of the members here on this site contacted me, saying that he would drive from Ohio to pick them up. He was ready to come down here, and pick them up, but he thought he found a pair on Ebay for sale....so I started selling all my gear and was going to get out of this "hobby" for a while, but a friend told me that if we shopped smart , we could indeed put together another system with the money I had from selling everything. I agreed to do this, so first we found the tube amps, then the player, and cables we had already decided on which ones to get, but wanted to get everything else first.......then I get an email from the Klipsch Forum member asking if my speakers are still for sale ? The Ebay thing didnt work out for him. I know that the cables have been ordered and are on the way, but I reply to him that they are, and so we set up a day that I know I will be home, we even talk on the phone and finish any last minute questions that there might be. Cables arrive, and I hook them up, and what do you know ? The system sounds just great, and I honestly didnt think that cables could make that much of a difference...so here I have the sound that I enjoy, but the buyer will be here tomorrow after drving from Ohio to get his speakers. I will honor what I have told this gentleman that the speakers are his......but my question is this : What would you do if you were in my shoes ? Buy another pair of the 30's or go a different route speaker wise ?

If you choose next speaker, then speaker has to be effecient enough for 50 watt tube mono-blocks and be bi-wireable...also have the ability to play any kind of music ( vocals to rock & roll ).

Input needed.

Here's a pair right in your backyard. Check out e-bay item # 5771616229. I bet these would make you miss the KLF's a little less. I have a pair of the original Forte's and think they are every bit as clean as the KLF's I use to own. Of course you could always bid on the Belle's over here is St. Pete, but I wouldn't deal with such a scalper.

Sorry, forgot to mention that I also have a pair of the Forte 11 speakers.

The only thing wrong with the Forte speaker is that it would be hard to hook up the bi-wire cables that I just bought and really dont want to sell them.

The CF4 is a bi-wire\ampable speaker, but it is a rare find for sale. I have a friend with a pair but never did a direct comparison to the KLF's. Over at Audio Review, there are some good reviews written and even one describing a Klipsch engineer preferring them over the Klipschorn's. I have a pair of CF1's which are not bi-wireable but sounded fine standing in for my Khorns while waiting on rebuilt crossovers to come back from Bob Crites.

Has money already exchanged hands? If the buyer from Ohio hasn't paid you yet, then maybe you should just tell him the truth that you no longer want to part with your KLF-30s. If he has already paid you in full, explain to him your intentions and give him his money back. Either way, throw in some extra cash for his troubles and travel expense. It might set you back a bit financially, but in the end you'll still have your loudspeakers that finally sounds the way you want them to.

Just use half of the bi-wire and use your Fortes. Bi wiring doesn't do anything anyway. Seriously, it doesn't. If you think it does, you're only thinking it does. Honest.

If I sold my Klipsch speakers I would also sell my amps.

I am thinking about getting a Pass Labs X350 amp and a pair of VMPS RM40 speakers.

I am going back and forth between ordering the above or ordering a pair of Khorns and a Belle. I would then have to order another amp. It never ends.

Good luck on your quest. It is not an easy choice.
