Tony Reed
Take a look at the following auction for a pair of LaScala's. Check out the pic with the K-Horns. What's wrong with this pic? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61378&item=5780117551&rd=1 Tony
IndyKlipschFan
First off I (personal choice) LOVE the look of those Scalas./ Always have, always will. One of the first pairs I ever saw had that 1/2" look of polyurethane on them, and I was blown away how beautiful they were.. I think these are Birch Lacquer I think your comment is more that the k horns are not anywhere near a corner, "sealed wise.." Looks like a typical Florida home.. Tile floors, maybe someone from the north (Or wherever) brought these down and not set em up right in the room. If I needed scalas, (I do not..) and they are as pretty as they look in the pics.. I would be all over these for sure!
psg
You mean the funky grain on the side?

I like their look too Indy. Now for the Klipschorns not being in a corner, yeah kind of defeats the purpose. Corner em or at least seal them. And then placing them in front of the Klipschorns ?!?!?! I am hoping that was just for a size comarison.
SilverSport
looks to me like the "funky grain" is going in the wrong direction... Bill ...edited to say...I just looked at my '80s "owner's manual" and the pic there of the 'Scalas has a similar finish and grill...with the grain appearing the same way...1st time seeing this in the "flesh." Frzninvt
I have seen those types of off color grains in Birch a number of times before! They look nice though!
capo72
"Check out the pic with the K-Horns. What's wrong with this pic?" I think the problem is that his TV is too small Jeremy
IndyKlipschFan
Maybe it is those other speakers, too! JBL next to the tv??
Tony Reed
I was looking at the K-Horns away from the corners. Surely, this isn't the way he listens to them. Someone needs to tell him to shove those things in a corner. Tony
psg
At first i thought that was just for the picture, but it's obvious from all the picture frames on them that they are there all the time. They seem to be against a wall, so need a false corner on the other sides. Maybe he should sell the KHrons and keep the La Scala! They seem better suited to his room!
