Colin,

Thanks. Yea, I like the leather look and feel too. The reclining aspect is nice too. I have zebra print towels folded between each Heresy & front Cornwall. Just whimsical things to match the Zebra print rugs on the wall. Have cut and polished glass tops on the rear Cornwalls. For me, it's fun place to just lounge, relax and enjoy the Klipsch sound! On my way out now to craft & fabric stores. I'll be looking at fabric colors that I might possibly use, to cover a pair of white KSP-S6's for rear wall installation.

Later...Wes

Your setup is certainly awsome. I bet it rocks when everything is cranked up. Would you mind listing what speakers you use with what systems and listing the equipment that you have? BTW the pictures are fine you still have some brain cells left (and they must be mighty happy with all those Klipsch around:-).

I just have one last question. Where are your socks?

Hi Jim, Thanks & Yes they're Quintents. Got 4 plus center and Infinity Sub in bedroom. Glad your Academy arrived safely. I may be stuck with 5.1 for a while. I think the fireplace to the right rear hampers side surround placement. But 5.1 is good, I mostly listen to multi-channel music. It's all good as long as we enjoy the music and "Klipsch Is Music".

Hello Marty65, Thanks. What I actually have framed is an old Instruction Manual for the Heritage Line. I thought it would look good framed too, glad you liked it. I like framing old Klipsch brochures, binders and manuals. I think they add a nice historical touch and are conversation pieces as well. Enjoy!

Hey eq_shadimar, Thanks for your compliments as well. Yea, when I'm home I really enjoy this room the most! BTW - I only have one pair of socks, so I can't afford to leave either one laying about.LOL

Here are the Klipsch speakers I have set up and stored.

Thanks to all for your review and comments...Wes

Very nice ShapeShifter,I can see you are a true Klipsch man.You even have framed Klipsch adds! Smile.gif

Nothing too fancy just a very classy setup. And the HT setup is loaded with Classic Klipsch(on the sides).

How much more Klipsch speakers can you fit in?

With all the large Klipsch speakers you dont need too many watts to make movies and music come alive. The Outlaw amp in your HT system is a nice bonus.

Good setup,very nice.

At your limit! Nah you still have some space for more audio gear and speakers.

My audio room is as full as an egg right now,I sit in the center of the room and gear almost sourrounds me!

One can say I have a true sourround system LOL And I am sourrounded by a serious audio problem.Audio mania!

At least your setup looks good,I think you could find a plave in your room and heart for some RF-7's Smile.gif

  • 3 weeks later...

Yeah...I can see this thread popping to the top every once in a while just to see the pictures again. Very nice indeed...

I don't know if you know it, Wes, but I'm heading to West Palm Beach this Sunday to pick up a pair of Chorus II's (in Oiled Oak) from 1990 that look like they are in great shape. Colin is heading over tonight (he lives in West Palm) to look them over and give them a listen. If he likes what he sees/hears then I will make the drive down to pick them up. I will then use them as my mains and move the black Chorus's to the rear for 5.1 music. Will let you know if I get them. If I do, hey...I'll only be like 5 pairs of speakers behind you... Smile.gif

Thanks again.

Hey Mike, Glad to hear your adding more. Should be a heavenly sound! You may have to add a "Hauling Klipsch" moniker to the tail gate of that Ram Truck.Biggrin.gif I'm still looking at 1969 Camaro RS/SS Convertibles, with the prices I'm seeing. I may have to sell some of my Klipsch to finance one.Eek.gif

Comparing Apples And Oranges

Klipsch Chorus II vs. B&W Nautilus 803

My first impression was that $500 used 1990 Chorus IIs were a hell of a good speaker for the money. Nothing seems to be missing. I listened for tone and texture, and was very favorably impressed. The Chorus IIs are a hell of a deal, compared to the $2,500 B&W 803s. On the brief selection that I listened to, they sounded very much like the 803s. The 803s seem to have slightly less "air" about them and less "bite" to the horns. There were far more similarities in this limited demonstration then there were differences. In fact, I found more differences between my tube set-up with big old Klipsch Cornwalls than I did between these two speakers.

Without missing the chance to write a long review, I posted my thoughs on AudioReview at http://www.audioreview.com/reviews/Speaker/product_7754.shtml
