I tried it with a friend of mine who owned a very nice pair of Tannoys (forget the model number)...and they certainly made some sound, just a bit lacking in the bass department. I'd say we got more around 70dB out of them at most. It certainly makes one wonder if a seperate amplifier is really needed...Make the ipod a bit bigger and you could probably cram one of those digital tripath amps in there [] Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I returned it! I'll say that it is marginally better then the Bose SoundDock for not much less expensive. And that's about it! Even the $99 ProMedia Ultra 2.0 sounded better! Shame on Klipsch! You bought one and returned it already? They were just released! Where did you buy it? Did you return through them or us? I'd like to get that unit back here and have a listen, because from every listening comparison test I've done, it blows the competition away. I love Klipsch speakers and only own Klipsch (especially the Heritage). I just think that this time Klipsch goofed and gave too much attention to Bose then they deserved!
