travisc
What are peoples thoughts on ear candles or other care items for the pieces of gear I have had since I was born. Max?[]
Daddy Dee
Whoa. Careful on the ear candles... new age snake oil there. Maybe they'd be helpful, as long as you keep them out of your ears!
Speedball
I thought only Shrek did that?
travisc
shrek and hippies, done it three times over the past ten years. Just thought about it today while cleaning my ears. Thought about horns for my ears also, kinda like horneds picture. Its been a long busy week at work and I think I should go to bed, I'm burnt out.[|-)]

J.4knee
I am with Michael as I too am essentially in the dark on this subject as well. Maybe that is a good thing.

sunburnwilly
Do a Google search on ear wicking / candleing . Once you read a couple of testimonials youl never think of it again . How does burning your inner ear canal with hot wax sound ?
travisc
yeah the more I look online it seems to be homeopathic BS It did seem to make my hearing more sensitive though, if anything its a fun thing to do with your partner and it does involve fire.....FIRE.....FIRE
sputnik
sunburnwilly: ".............How does burning your inner ear canal with hot wax sound?" Answer: Hissss. Sizzzzzle. Pop.

sputnik
so youve done it sputnik? Thats what it sounds like. Well, not really for any theraputic treatment. It was more of an S&M thing in Thailand. You never know exactly what you're getting into when you don't speak the language.[]
Daddy Dee
Yes, fluency in another language would really be helpful in ordering an ear candle treatment. Having the request "mostly" correct could still be disastrous... "I'd like you to stick a burning candle in my ________________ please." Marvel
yeah the more I look online it seems to be homeopathic BS A lot of homeopathic items aren't BS. And, like a lot of regular medical treatments, some just don't work on some people while others do work. Just like some people will only do herbal remedies, which ARE chemicals. What a funny world we live in. There's a small music store in the town where we live. They sell ear candles. I've only been in it one time. Just didn't get a great vibe (how's that?). travisc
I wasnt refering to homeopathic treatments as bs on a whole, just the ear candles. I find it hard to believe that enough of a vaccum would be created to suck the wax out of your ear. But I find it odd that we all talk about speakers and gear and not too much about our ears. [] For example what oil do you treat your ears with BLO or lemon. that kinda stuff
Marvel
Lavender for cuts. BLO on the walnut.
