sivadselim
How about corrections? The hauntingly beautiful "Long Black Veil", although recorded by him, is not a Johnny Cash tune. Nor was he the first to record it. Joan Baez and the Kingston Trio, among others, recorded it before he did. And The Band were doing it over three decades before DMB (yuk!). [] The song does have a listed composer, but it's one of those old backwoods 'merican hillbilly tunes that borders on being categorized as "traditional". computerdude
I just skimmed the first post, so I applogize if this isn't relevant, but I'll give lyrics. "It's hard to believe it, even as my eyes do see it. The very things that made you live, are killing you." (Please don't google it..) Jeff Matthews
I was surprised to see some yellow stars on the forum page rating this post. Through what process did the rating take place? I've never seen this before.

computerdude
"And I'm not sure what the trouble was, that started all of this. The reasons all have gone away, but the feeling never did. It's not something I would reccomend, but it is one way to live. Cause what is simple in the moonlight in the morning never is. Cause what is simple in the moonlight now is so complicated. Cause what is simple in the moonlight, so simple in the moonlight, so simple in the moonlight..." Name it

Jeff Matthews
Okay, more lyrics. This ought to be an easy one. "Knock down the old brick wall, and be a part of it all Nothing to say, nothing to see, nothing to do If you would give me all, as I would give it to you Nothing would be, nothing would be, nothing would be" Name That Tune! Ray Garrison
I think that was from the movie Providence (uh, Ouside Providence?) - which was a really awful movie - but I have no idea what te song title might be or who sang it... Jeff Matthews
Awwww.... For such a popular song, I thought I was getting back into a little more mainstream in order to keep the thread moving. I'm giving it away. Badfinger, "No Matter What." Now, you are all going "I knew that!" Next: "Helpless people on a subway train Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them" Name that Tune!
