1981 Cornwalls?

Hi Guys, I just scored those Cornwalls that you may have seen listed on Audiogon. These things dont have a mark on them, stone mint. Had them home within an hour, local transactions are the best.

I have never heard Cornwalls until now. I understand why all of you rave about them, man they sood good!

The seller was a super nice guy and extremely flexable on his asking price. He claimed he bought them new around 1981. Type: C-BR. Serial Nos. 16S821 & 16S822. Does that sound about right?

Thanks, Pete

Comparing both I have to say that the line is a whole lot thinner than I expected. I thought that the K-Horns would total these Cornwalls, not so. I haven't even messed with speaker placement yet. They are really something. Not sure why I bought them? The wife left town on business and 10 Miller Lites later it just made sense:) True story.

HA, just put em anywhere, that's the beauty of CW's! (ok, maybe skootching them in the corner a bit increases the bass), but I've found that CW's sound good just about any configuration I've tried.

And I've tried a lot.

Park them right in front of the Klipschorns and just wire them in parallel, use a good 100W+ solid state amplifier.

Play Talking Heads 'Burning Down the House' at threshold shift.
