formica
Looks like there are all-new "Reference" grade subs coming from Klipsch in the new year.... abit with a new name. From the "Reference Series Being Discontinued" thread... we get: Save your $$ your going to like what you see and hear! The Ear especially... Hint Hint Thanks to Roger, you heard it here first... TheEAR
I have to see real pics and some specs first. I am always in need of more subwoofers and audio gear []
CAS
Perhaps this means I can get an "old" R-7 system for rock bottom prices from the local dealer soon. Opportunity awaits?
CECAA850
If they've taken the Reference sub up the same notch that they took the Synergy subs, they should be fine performers.
jacksonbart
I am hoping for an RSW-18 with 3600 watts.

CAS
I am hoping for an RSW-18 with 3600 watts. That sounds like an uber sub. I think you may get better results with a couple of RSW-15's. Jump up to the 18" woof with that much juice and they may throw in all sorts of gadgets like servo controls, electronic EQ'ing, LCD displays and remote controls. I don't want to pay for all that. I'd rather see research into more capable woofers, more substantial enclosures, and overall more efficient designs. Let's see the RSW-15B with 128 @ 20. DrWho
Every serious subwoofer manufacturer throws in active EQ, and all the other tricks of the trade (current limiting, excursion filters, etc etc...)....servo is just one tool that can be used to reduce distortion - which is definetly something that should not in any way be overlooked with a quality sub. I am hoping that klipsch decided to put out something a little bit bigger, you know...like 8 cubic feet but I doubt that's the case. I wonder if the new subs will outperform the Ultra2's....I have a feeling they won't. (But instead will be gear more towards 20Hz and above with "musicality" in mind). IndyKlipschFan
Without admitting nor denying that I know any more than you.. (Whew I think I am ok with that statement...) It only makes sense if we all know something is coming in a three way design, and will be better than.. or as good as the current reference lineup..(might not call it "Premier" .. but the dealers still need something exciting.. Klipsch has to see what is out there on the market.. Here is a time to go forward and after testing the waters... produce something that keep people looking, and buying, and talking too. kenratboy
I dream of LaScala's behind a massive screen, and 4, 18" Klipsch subwoofers under the screen. Heresy's for the rears. Few thousand watts of power. 1080p projector. Dedicated room.

Anyway, I wonder if there will be some 15" monsters for the new stuff - maybe those are for the ultra cool line (Primere line or whatever)
