Parrot
How long has the Search function been so lousy? You used to be able to find stuff, and now it's essentially worthless, and kicks you over to google.
meagain
It's been down for about 2 months now. Yes, 2 months.
NOSValves
With no end in sight. I mean in the past we have never had what I would call a good search engine but this latest thing is a complete joke. Craig
Parrot
Maybe if we all threatened to boycott the Forum, changes would be made? I can start the strike.
Allan Songer
Maybe if we all threatened to boycott the Forum, changes would be made? I can start the strike. Good idea! Make sure you check back in a couple of years to see how it went!!
Parrot
You love having me around and you might as well admit it. Case in point on the Search function: Type in "Blue Note Songer" and instead of getting the actual 4000+ posts that have been made on this label by Al, you get ONE hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Daddy Dee
there's a problem with the search engine?

You actually got a hit on a search!? That's more than I have received. I guess I just don't know how to use it properly....
meagain
Do you want some REAL fun? Right now, the topmost thread here on 2-ch is called WWPWKD? Search on that. See what you get. EDIT: LOL! It's hysterical. Try it.

Daddy Dee
It is actually hard to imagine that Google can suck that bad. I mean really, it's like it's not connected to anything.
meagain
I've actually had better luck going to google proper and typeing in a keyword plus klipsch. That way, sometimes I can pull up the old format version of the forums. Very old stuff. IF I get really lucky. What was nice was someone found a way into use a search. It worked really well till they shut it down. I stumbled upon them the other day googling. So they exist somewhere. Just not allowed to use it. Daddy Dee
meagain, that's a good idea to search the entire world wide web with google to find posts on the Klipsch forum. whatever works is a good thing. I know I am easily amazed, but that really does amaze me that such a solution would work better than google searching a local server. thanks. Parrot
Using google, I stumbled on this post by ben over at audioasylum, who missed me terribly, it seems. Looks like he associates low power amps with intelligence; go figure. I think a "jackhole" is a kind of rabbit? We can find something to argue about no matter what. Folks that like low power amps have pretty well left the Klipsch forum in disgust. Too bad, really. There are still plenty of intelligent guys posting there, it's just that they tend to prefer more headroom. At least that jackhole paulparrot hasn't been around lately!! ben. codhead
Welcome back, Parrot. You'd be delighted to know that I've found a great new use for a SET amp. Makes a nice stand, don't it?! []
Dflip
The effectiveness of the search engine rates right up there with requiring Oliver North, Bill Clinton and Karl Rove to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Colin
is this search the Google Mini, or simply an on site link?
Parrot
Probably the Google China, in which censorship reigns.
