According to the SVS site, you will get all the necessary cables except the speaker wire. You need the speaker wire to hook the subs to the amp.

Are you talking about the cable from the sub to the Samson amp?

BTW, can you please recommend me a Monster Cable that would do that job? Smile.gif

If you get the Samson with a subwoofer, we include a bettercables silver serpent cable with RCA termination on one end and 1/4" style on the other. You use this to patch the rca subwoofer output of your receiver to the channel #1 input on the Samson amp. If you also purchase an EQ, we include a second bettercables cable for that. We also include a RCA/1/4" adaptor...in case you have a long distance run between the receiver and the intended location of the Samson amp and will be using your own cable.(the cable we supply is 1m).

All you have to do is add some generic 12-14g speaker wire to go from the amp to the sub(s)...and you're all set.

I've built that a long time ago...maybe 5 years now. Used it in my HT room for a few years, and now it's sitting in storage.(i've sort of become emotionally attachedSmile.gif ).

here's what the back of my HT room looked like a couple years ago.

Manytubes2.jpg

if you look closely, you'll see the back end of a audiocontrol 3050 RTA on the table...and under the fold-down shelf on the sectional is a calibrated 170dB audiocontrol mic. I think I had about 20 long throw 12s in the room at one time...with something like 6-7 kilowatts total.I used to run *high* level sweeps and stand outside the house(with a friend or two) pushing against the doors and picture window(it's just an old living room) trying to maintain air pressure in the room for high SPL bursts.

uh, geez, TV, I'm, uh, speechless... and that's not easy, ask anyone...

Thanks for the picture. I feel much better now. There **ARE** people in the world who are crazier than I am. By the way, were you "satisfied" with the bass you were getting with that setup, or are you still searching for more? And if so, of what, pray tell?

Jealously,

Ray

LOL Great picture hyper-subs! Could be used to guard your house against thieves ; just plus the alarm on a circuit that sends violent low freq. signals to these and you could actually knock out the thieves! (or deafen them, the bastards!!) Why are you no longer using them? You need space? The ultimate killing experience would be to put on a noise cancelling helmet and go into a big sub to be crushed by the bass of your favorite music! I must be crazy... cwm3.gif

You Know, If you use various recipes of high quality plenum Cat 5 wire, and a little know-how in measuring

and testing, You can come up with a great quality

sounding speaker cables for a great price.

It's something I need to do.

Hey TV, Where do you get that sonotube material?

Serious elephant call subs there.

THANX!cwm32.gif
