Mike Lindsey
OK... just ordered a vinyl copy (M-) of the Kenny Burrell for $13 shipped to my door. Looking forward to playing it this holiday.
coda
It's out of print, but after listening to the tracks on Rhapsody I decided it was too good to pass up. Lo and behold a few copies can be found at Amazon. For ~$5 it's a steal IMO . . At this date check for shipping times if you want it before Christmas. Mike Lindsey
On the other hand, the Beach Boys Christmas album almosts drives me to suicide. Hmmm... differing opinions I presume.
joshnich
On the other hand, the Beach Boys Christmas album almosts drives me to suicide. Hmmm... differing opinions I presume. Missed that reference! To each his own. I happen to think that Vince Garaldi is OK but I really think Brubeck is really overated. Haven't heard his Christmas LP so I cant comment on it. Its a good thing that OT does not hang near my house during the Holidays (although he is more than welcome) because once the tree goes up the kids want "The Man With All The Toys" spinning on the TT! colterphoto1
honestly, I'm not unboxing a single decoration or CD this year.
LarryC
While not Chritmas music, I'm sending this CD to another forum member. Go the linked webpage, scroll down, read the positive "Spotlight reviews," and listen to some of the samples --

Mike Lindsey
Well I just got my copy of the Kenny Burrell "Have Yourself a Soulful Little Christmas" and it is indeed mint. Still in the original shrinkwrap with the pricetag still on it ($1.09). To my delightful surprise it is the Mono pressing (LP 779) and sounds fantastic! Dead quiet with no clicks or pops! Good call, Allan! Mike
