thebes
Yeah, Yeah a Contest! What's it all about you say? Why it's simple. Just post a picture of a turntable and everyone get's to guess what it is. Wowee Thebes just what do we get to win? Why nothing Johnny, but trust me it will be lot's of wholesome good fun. Aw shucks, Thebes you've snookered us again. Now wait just a minute folks don't leave until you've given it a try. Could be more fun than you think. For example I just wonder what this big bad boy on the cover of Donal Fagen's 1982 masterpiece "the Nightfly" might be? Sure looks like a serious turntable to me. two dot
This is one one of my favorite "reference" albums, I have played it 100's of times and everytime I look at that TT and wonder... what is that???? I have been jonesing for a 124 or something similar of late. It would be great to find a table of equal quality thet did not have the "cult status" value of the the 124. Allan Songer
Broadcast turntable from the early 50's. Look at that ARM! Gotta love those 8-gram tracking weights!! There are a few nuts on the Asylum that are using stuff like this . . .

Guest " "
This one has wider dynamic range than the train turntable.

Speaking of "The Nightfly," someone should jump on this BIN option! thebes
Seems like Allen came the closest but I really have no idea what it is either. Affaciandoes may note that the lp sleeve next to the TT is an album by Sonny Rollins. So let's try this one. High end and a known name. Hint: think of a one word James Bond movie and you're almost there.

synthfreek
How about this one? Chances are if you know what this is you'll know a certain piece of trivia about it.
synthfreek
Hey everybody for this to work you'll have to not link directly to url's that have the manufacturer in the address. Just drag the pic to your desktop and use the "options" tab when you post to upload the pic. Be sure to rename it something generic like "turntable". That's a Clearaudio Statement. By the way Clearaudio actually makes a cartridge called the Goldfinger.
LarryC
That's a Clearaudio Statement. The one Gary posted is not a Clearaudio, let alone a C/A Statement. Try again ---
Islander
Here is one with a Very Heavy tracking weight. Where is that turntable? In the late 70s, I worked at the CN Spadina roundhouse in Toronto, which had a similar turntable. It was demolished in order to build the CN Tower. The Canadian Pacific roundhouse nearby was later sold and became a brewery, Steam Whistle Beer.
