Cal Blacksmith
A It is a Klipsch table radio! Really, this is a quick setup I put together with some spare gear I had around to check out the amp that Shload sold me and that Joesportster was so kind as to pick up, pack and ship for me! THANKS GUYS!! It got here safe and sound, partly I am sure due to the great job of double boxing and packing that Joe did for me. The amp is in even better condition that I had expected it to be and that says a lot!! Thanks Joe (yes both gents are named Joe, go figgure!) The pic was taken with my phone so the quality isn't so great, but you get the idea. The sound is pretty darn good for just sitting where it is. Very clean and crisp as a Class A amp should be, well it does go into pushpull at about 15 watts but it will likely never go that high with Klipsch heratage speakers! Next it moves to the HT to power the mains...... well possibly it will do short duty in the Cornwall system just to see what it really can do! THANKS AGAIN GUYS! BLSamuel
Now that redefines the term table radio and definitely sets a new standard.
shload
Hope you enjoy the amp....I think it has got to be one of the best values out there on the used marked. Thanks to Joe (joesportster) for picking the amp up and shipping it out! Joe

tigerwoodKhorns
Cal, Have you had time to really listen to the amp? I am wondering what you think of it. FYI, there always seem to be Forte preamps on Audiogon.
Cal Blacksmith
Not much really, I just hooked it up to make sure the people at the shipping co. didn't do any damage that could not be seen on a visual inspection. From what I have heard though, I do like it. I will pair it with my tube pre and Cornwalls to really give it a listen. I am up to my eyeballs with a forging project though, I have way too many hours in this to break even for the $500 + finish (they want antique bronze finish) I am charging. I need to get this done before I am skinned alive by the contractor in this project. This is a wall shelf for a hallway, 18" wide, 7" deep and 14" tall. It will have a marble slab top added at the install site.
bliss53
Very nice work. I used to hang out in my grandfather's forge. I got to do a few things with him. I wish I had paid more attention but I was only a youngster. I still have some pieces we made together.
