Photoboy
I live in Cartersville, up I-75 about 40 miles north of downtown Atlanta. If I can I will definately go to the event. Are you near hear or between here and GHT? I used to sell audio back in the golden days of hi-fi, but lost interest when CDs and home theater came around. jwc
I'm a little out of the way. I'm west of Atlanta south of I-20. I hope to see you there. jc
Cornwalled
Man, it seems like all the cool things happen so far away from me. I would definitely be there except I'm all the way up here in PA! -Jon
seti
The Palladiums sound great. I'd love to hear them with that McIntosh collection.... WOW
travis-g
I have the pb-17s and they reproduce music in a way I have never heard before I am very pleased with them
colterphoto1
Nice gear, but they might want to consider pulling those PAL's a foot or two forward. 12 inches from the front wall is not where Klipsch usually placed them for demos. Damon, anything in the owner's manual about placment? How is the owner's manual btw?
Coytee
Looks like I'm heading down this way on either Thursday or Friday of this week... I'm going to plan on stopping by for a listen. Maybe I can gain a "credit" for a warm body showing up early instead of perhaps at the official event. I like the looks of that Mac amp too!!! jwc
Richard. That is great. Ask for Eric. Just so you know, GHT is listed on the Klipsch website as a dealer of the Palladiums....... For giggles, show Eric a photo of your jubilees. He seemed to have a little interest in the commercial line up. Bring some discs too. Let us know what you think. jc
damonrpayne
I'll have to check the manuals about placement. Placement is a room-specific and relative game anyway. You are changing where the reflections occur, corner loading, and at what phase reflections off the wall behind the speakers meets the direct sound in front; possibly other things that are not coming to mind. I'm going the route of room treatments instead of "extreme placement" because I don't want these guys (pretty as they are) like 4 feet in front of my projector screen. homemadeheresy
What an awesome display of equipment. Its too bad there isn't anything like that around here [:'(]
darkside
I just caught up on this thread and all I can say is Great Googa Mooga! That's some nice looking stuff right there! And what makes it evenbetter is that, for me, McIntosh is the ultimate and on those speakers,I can only imagine how good that sounds! That just twisted the knife alittle more! I already want to go, and that doesn't help, thanks JC! []
rscotth
Placement in the manual says no less than 8" from the front wall, and no less than 12" from the side walls, and recommend 6' to 16' apart, I think?
jwc
I talked to the store manager today. The event is still on next Tuesday. If anyone is planning on going.....please post here or PM me so that I can give GHT some idea of what to expect. jc
