PS - tofu with some dried seaweed, seasame seeds, and a dab of soysauce is delicious.

  3. The Snake The Cross The Crown's "Mander Salis."
  4. Wassup Wheelman! What kinda Kimbers were you running before? 4TC? 8TC? Monofocal? Bifocal? While I am a little surprised Audioquest's bulk cable seems to sound better (I'm not much of an AQ fan, speaker cable or interconnects), I can say that I always preferred Kimber's interconnects over their speaker cables. But I'm still surprised you initially felt the AQ beat them (albeit some variations on your perceptions depending on distance, walls, etc.) Since you say the sound became "smoother...more lush," I'm wondering if perhaps: 1) the sound was simply "different," which may at the time have been interpreted as smoother and more lush? 2) the Kimber's connections had loosened slightly over time, and thus was not fully transmitting the maximum signal? PS - cold, firm, organic tofu can be quite good. I sometimes eat an entire box right from the package for protein.

What are they selling, how are they selling it, and to whom is the commercial directed? Is it an SUV they are selling? Or is it really escape from the life you have erected about you? etc. ---------------- That's actually quite brilliant. In 20 years time, when I have my own kids, I think I'll play this game too. If you don't mind?

The protagonist/antagonist relationships were quickly and predictably established, romantic interests/conflicts went through formulaic developments, and the denouement was a bit ho hum, complete with a set-up for sequels... ---------------- Are you sure you weren't in my Screenwriting 101 class? You sure know the classical Hollywood structure.
  8. Samantha and Sheena look diabolically evil. Like Satan's sex slaves.
  9. How the heck did you get the RF7's and RC7 for THAT price??? That's basically 50% off!
  10. My roommate told me to go in without any expectations whatsoever, and you'll be pleasantly entertained. But once you start expecting an ounce of intelligence from this flick, well...you can do the math.
  11. And nukes. I wanted nukes and napalm and panzerfaust warheads.
  12. Let us know how they sound after a good 100 hours of break-in.
  13. For sure LA has hot bods, but 50% of them are indeed "purchased." I'm surprised Hawaii (my home before LA) wasn't on the list! I also remember reading not too long ago that the "fittest" city was San Diego, and the "fattest" city was somewhere in South Carolina. All that fried chicken, I guess.
  14. Wow, 100 watts of pure class A? All I can say is SCORE!
  15. Dude, your avatar is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack! just playin!

  18. The fact you can't tell the difference is sad, gramps.

At times I wonder because you talk like they're your daughters or something, lol. ---------------- Clearly, you need to spend more time in the 2-channel forum...
  20. You guys are all missing the point. This is not a discussion thread. It's a SALE THREAD.
  21. I think the point is that not all digital transports are made equal. Which in turn means using a digital toslink or coax does not mean you'll get the same sound, regardless of the player being used. I don't know either what a potential "safe zone" in jitter is, but again, I've heard differences in a variety of players used as transports (which, by the way, inherently means they are not using their own DAC's, so there's no need to keep clarifying that), and I think if I can, anyone with a decent pair of ears can.

So I miss out on all the fun too, but at least you still have your high school and college years to look forward to!

  24. I've never heard Audio Research, but personally, the big, famous, and mighty Krell's are too analytical - or harsh - for me. If it makes any sense, they're "too" clean to the point it's not wholly enjoyable anymore. But then again, the one time I listened to them, I did so through a nice pair of Dynaudio speakers, which may not mate well with the Big K.
