  1. If you have the original 98 media (cd) you should be able to perform an install and the first thing it will ask is if you want to "fix" your current install. This may mix whatever got messed up in the install of the virus software. Just be sure NOT to do a fresh install, but there are plenty of warnings that will come up before it whips the disk clean. Good Luck
  2. I think they look really good. I usually like more of a mahogany, something with a reddish tint in it, but these lighter colored finishes are growing on me. This plain birch and the lighter oiled oaks.
  3. Thanks, I missed that in the description, my ADD must have kicked in. I didnt realize the new drivers were looking like the old ones. I hadnt seen one yet. Just the ones Bob is selling.
  4. Ok, someone set me straight, but doesnt the mid driver look like a K55V and not the black K55M. These were built in 2004, is this the mid that is being supplied from overseas and looks more like the old drivers?
  5. Hell, yesterday I saw the same speakers, same pictures listed out there twice with two different sellers names. They are on there alot.
  6. Steve Winwood - Roll With It Rock CD, not a bad track on the whole thing. And a quality recording too
  7. Sorry on your loss Craig. You and your family are in my prayers. Harley
  8. Very poetic! I'll remember that. Plus the accordion surrounds on paper woofers don't wear out with age. Modern materials fail at an astounding rate (foam surround rot) Ill second that, I had some early 80s Genisis speakers with foam surronds and it just fell apart while in storage
  9. Well, my almost 20 year old "paper" speakers are still rockin. So much that my daughter tells me to turn them down cause they are shaking the house. Wait til she hears the Khorns Im building. Harley
  10. Ive posted her before, I think it was on "Right this Minute" but she deserves a second mention. Great voice and a very good recording to boot. Keri Noble - Fearless Guess you could classify it as easy listening, she hasnt really caught on enough to be pop. Its on CD.
  11. Dean, What makes the soldered lug drivers so much better then the spring loaded ? Different manufacturer? Harley
  12. Hey Colin, doesnt current always flow better down hill ?
  13. The collar has been removed on the current standard models. So there is no spacer between the bass bin and the HF section. Theyve made it look like the old "C Style". Personally I like the look with the spacer (collar). The horizontal seal is just weather stripping applied to the back board which is a mod people have been doing for years to get a better seal against the corners walls.
  14. Thats just the 60th anniversary model. The normal production models arent sealed up like that and have the traditional styling except for the collar.
  15. I thought size didnt matter, it was how you used it
  16. Quite a few of us St Louis boys on the forum Harley
  17. That is VERY cool since Roger Waters "IS" Pink Floyd.
  18. I can barely read the thing, dont know how your making heads or tails of it.
  19. That is very cool. I like how the light is hitting the bass bins on the LaScalas. Not a Khorn in the bunch thou
  20. Thats whats great about this forum, you learn something new everyday. Thanks for the pic. Interesting take on the corner speaker design.
  21. That is a very strange shape for a speakerlab bass bin. The bass bin that is built with the speakerlab plans I have doesnt look anything like that. It is the same shape as the Khorn bass bin. Could they have had two different styles ?
  22. That was a great article thanks for sharing it. I dont think Paul would have even spoke with me with my great corpulence LOL
  23. Q: Hello Mike: Just wanted to let you know we sold the pair of 1974 Klipschorns we owned. After buying Eclipse cherrywood ones from you, we couldn't see any reason to keep them any longer. The quality and clarity of sound produced by our Eclipse Loudspeakers is so astounding that we didn't even want to listen to our old klipschorns any longer. Thanks for manufacturing such a great product. Sincerely, J.Clark and family A: dear clark family,it's great to hear for another satisfied eclipse customer.please feel free to contact me if i can be of any further help with technical support related to your equipment, etc. Michael Barney, Eclipse Loudspeaker Systems (360-651-8992) Why would anyone in their right minds sell a pair of Genuine Khorns to buy a pair of these ?
