  1. Hey I have the same speaker system that u have , i dont know what sub u have , as you can see on this post i have the RW-12, For a reciever , It depends on what you want to do , and how much you want to spend ???? you can spent Thousands of dollars , BUT WHY ??? i have this TEAC ag10 reciever 6 x 125 wats , this for me is plenty , its fricken loud and clear at 3 quarter volume, my room rumbles , this is too loud for me , but every now and then its ok. this is my 3 cents worth for you.
  2. Hey My vote is for the rw-12 . my ht setup is set up in a simular size of room , My room rumbles if i want it too. in my choise was the consideration of the room size , with the rw-12 . it filled the room with base , Go for the 12, you wont be disapointed.
  3. Hey I have this rw-12 it is a great sub.... it does the job very well. But i guess i am from the Rock and Roll era the older stuff , the bass notes are there but not like todays hip hop music , I have a 15 year old who plays that stuff on my system , she turns the bass up and just loves it . hope this helps
  4. Thanks , That is a nice set????
  5. Hey Efontaine If you are asking if you should purchase these , that depends what you are looking to do ... is the system for mainly HT. or mainly music ...??? My system is for mainly HT. Look below this post to see what i have , My room is 15 x 20 vaulted ceiling , i like the rsx sats. because i have a grandchild and did not want him to poke holes in the speaker with his fingures , Thes look great on the walls . The sound is fricken great ... clean and crisp on low or high volume . I could type lots more . All i got to say is that i am very happy with this system . it rocks and rumbles my room.
  6. Hey I have that system , Almost ( Look Bellow this post ) It sound great , Turned up is as clear and crisp as is when it is turned down . I dont sell this stuff or anything , Our family have been buying Klipsch product for over 20 years , Its all good stuff , For me i dont need that extreem music pounding any more , If i want that ill go to my brothers His stuff __ 2 rsw_12 , 1 rc7 , 4 x rf7 and 2 rs7 and 2 hershies, The house just shakes . PS. This setup is also very loud if i want it to be , i can make my room rumble , its 15 x 20, If you want to crank up the volume i suggest you go to the floor model speakers that Klipsch has.

    Aragon Amps

Hey I just went to my Klipsch dealer last week , he gave me a demonstration on Aragon amps , It was hooked up to 4 rf-7s 1 rc-7 and a rsw-15 . He put on the Star wars movie, turned it up to 1 third , WOW , i swear my heart changed its beat , my clothes were vibrating , The sound was clean and clear . Way too much for me , but it was a cool expirence ,I am not a real indicator for you because i dont have the money or need to get that loud , if i need that i just halfto go to my brothers house , he is the stereo nut in my family ( All klipsch speakers , old and new ), but i bet some others on this site are full of info.
  8. I guess i should of looked at your last post . DOUGH
  9. Hey rphjls I can say to you that i realy like my RW_12 , My room is 15 x 20 , the room rumbles if i want it to . If you want your room to shake go for the RSW-12 or better yet the RSW-15 , that 15 is earth shaking , The store i deal with , D&R Vacume ( go figure a vacume store that sells high end stereo stuff )He put on the Aregon amp & pre-amp to the 4 x rf-7 ,1 x rc-7 , 2 x rsw-15 , Put the star wars dvd on , turned it up a third of the way , i swear my heart was changing its beat , my clothes were vibrating , any way ,You halfto figure out what your needs are . rumble or earth shaking , I am a klipsch fan and feel that thats the way you should go , RW-12 is the one , the RW-10 is ok , but the 12 fit my room better .
  10. Thanks to all of you , im a newbie learning , from all you cool people, Thanks again EH
  11. Thanks for the wave file generator
  12. Thanks to jerhom on this site i found this wave file generator for creating sounds to test your speakers . I guess its a free stuff , Works great Thanks jerhom http://www.nt-instruments.com/Wavefilegenerator/
  13. All i say is that sometimes you halfto wait for the good stuff ,
  14. I was surfing on the net for a test tone CD or sounds so i could figure out what a 20hz sound , sounded like. Im cheep i guess , looking sor the lowest cost cd , really looking for the free stuff, I ran into this AMP , Maybe somebody here wants to see this. http://www.vt52.com/diy/myprojects/amps/26_lc/26lc.htm
  15. Is there a CD that i can purchase to test speakers ( HZ to KHZ )this CD should have the full range of sounds , one at a time maybe ??? .Some people say that the rw 12 produces sound as lows as 20 hz , i am trying to find out what a 20 hz sound , sounds like . Thanks for your help , EH
  16. Hey I posted on your last request about some info on this setup for your bedroom , I dont know if you remembered what i posted , I babelled about using hollow wall mounts to ancor your speakers ( RSX-5 ) to the wall , Well time has passed and ill tell you something , These speakers are sounding better with time , I havent had any regrets about this HT setup and i have no problem promoting it , in all honesty, a Perfect system for me . Thanks for thinking the same way that i am.
  17. Hey I like the H.T. system I have the same set up. Great sound , totaly like it
  18. Hey My vote....the RW-12 , Great sub at a great price, If you realy want to rumble, check out the RSW-12.
  19. Hey I can tell you about the two sub's that you are looking at . I have the RW-12 , I use it mainly for the home theater , the daughter uses it for HIP HOP , RAP ect...ect,,, , this speaker will rumble my room ( 15 x 20 ) , i like it very much ,,,,, cheeper than the RSW-12 sub My brother , he is the music and movie nut . He has 2 RSW-12 subs , his room .. Oups.. HOUSE .. Vibrates .. very clean and clear , He is a Klipsch head , hell our hole family is ....No other vote from here , because i dont know anything else . I would say , for you to talk to your dealer and bring both of those subs home and listen to them both , Movies ,,music , Rock , Rap,, Jazz ,,, & Mozart ,,,,classical , big band , Do yourself a favor , do all of this testing before you purchase a sub , this will eliminate any second guessing later on with time . The Klipsch dealer that my family has been dealing with for over 20 years is very good , to us i guess , D&R Vacume , Go figure EH , a vacume store to go and bye a high end sound system . its all good.. Sorry for all of the babbel ,,, Try both of the out one will rumble you , the other will vibrate you . the are both great sub's
  20. Hey I have this setup But only 5 RSX sats , my room is 15 x 20 feet, This room rocks and rumbles with this set up. I waited over , well almost three months for this set to be complete RCX 4 center took the longest time to get. They went onto the wall very easy the screw hole layout sheet is a very easy to use , its even got a level built in to make sure you got it strait. I used Hollow wall mounting screw , these worked perfect I used a 1/4 inch drill bit to drill the holes , The ball mount system is good stuff . But it takes a while and lots of attempts to set these speakers up , To where they point and the direction angle that the sound will go to (( i tapped 4 laser lights to the sats and pointed them to a position that i thought would work for me ((( my room 15 x 20 ))) it was like a circle i made with the lights ( only had 4 lasers ) I used left speaker , points to the right side of the room tward the seatimg area (((( ear level, high ))), right speaker points to the left side of the room at the same level (((( ear level, high ))) front , back , side speakers i followed that same principal, So in the end the speaker positioning was like a circle if you hade lasers taped to all of the satillites. OH and make sure you dont tighten the hollow wall mount screws down tight , you will be taking down the speakers to make the adjustments untill you get the position to the way you like it . I like this system that you are getting , I can make my room rumble. I hope this helps you
  21. I have the RW-12 . I went through the same process as you . Fortunatly we here in Windsor ( Canada ) have a great Klipsch dealer ( D&R Vacume ) they let me try those subs out . I chose the RW-12 Budget reasons and i have a grandchild ( boy ) and i did not like the idea of having an exposed woofer for him to play with. So i saved some money ( still expensive ) but for me , its a great pounding sub.
  22. My vote is what i have , First you should know what you want, too much bass, or , just enough bass , ??? Two examples , I have the RW-12 as you see in my under post . This makes my room ( 15 x 20 ) rumble . On the other hand , my brother ( The stereo head ) has 2 RSW-15 with RC-7 center , 2 RF-7 , 2 RS-7 , 2 Hershies , this room just shakes when he turns it up
