I like the clean look. Makes me want to redo my room now. Only thing that looks out of place is the fireplace, but they usually are most times.

Darn, now Im gonna have to go check my wiring to my mains after reading this thread and see if upping to 12 gauge might change the sound (I dont recall what gauge I have). Luckily I would only need about 15 ft total. Oh well, anything for the sound (including sending my xovers to Dean I think in the next week or 2).

I have some oiled oak ones, but my I missed my steal of Chorus II's on ebay by $10 (thanks to my golf tee time being at the same time as the auction ending! Damn the luck!) so looks like I may have to keep em for a while longer.

You try unhooking all but one component at a time and seeing if one of them is causing feedback of some kind? Also did you retry your original cables, by moving your speakers closer? It is kinda weird that in DTS mode, it disappears.

I have friends with stereos, but they're not serious about them (except for a few). I think as more HDTV becomes available, home theater systems will follow as people will want to create a theatre like sound for the picture.

Bartdude - What Otto calls Bart Simpson....Yo Bartdude.. Im a Simpsons-aholic. My other handle, when Bartdude is taken, is Bart2d2 (which I coined myself!) and is a cross between Bart and R2D2, Star Wars, my #1 all time favorite movie.

As far as I know, I dont believe any of the systems have a DVI output. My kids PSII goes thru the SVideo input into our tv. Before I changed TV's, I had the PSII hooked up to the AV reciever and it brought the game to life with the volume/ greater sound ambiance. Now they just get the 35" with tv speakers But they are young girls, so sound quality really doesnt matter to them.

I might look into them (or one of the other big boys) but Im afraid, even with 2700 sq ft of house, I have no real good location for them. (though if I found some for a great price, I would be forced to get them and put them somewhere)

Maybe you outta ask him to email you a pic of the damage! If it isnt damaged, he would have to damage it in order to send you a pic.

It still is good. I am currently hooked on it (stargate) As to star trek, I have seen every episode but now cant watch it anymore due to having seen much better :/

Got my AVR630 from Onestop.com. Full warranty and was 690ish plus shipping back on my bday Jan 26. Course now I see they have it up in the $900 range :/

I found it (read the manual I did!) It was set to auto detect progressive where if the disk only has 4:3 ratio, then it defaults to 480i. I have turned that function off and will check out when I get home tonite and can test. Thanks guys anyways!

HK AVR630?

I have a Pioneer elite 45a dvd player and being my first pro-scan player I was wondering why certain dvds will output in pro-scan and others wont. The player is set up for progressive out but doesnt always output that way. Is this common?

Judging by the cost the academy right now, I'll trade you my academy for your 2 chorus's
