Went to a concert at the AMP in Fayetteville, http://www.arkansasmusicpavilion.com We were in RFR and the sound was not good. It was loud but not very clear at all. While the warmup band was playing I walked around to find the best spot. I may get tickets to 38 special. I think the best spot sonically was right behind the sound mixing crew, hmmm imagine that, but then you had a hard time seeing the band. If you moved further back the sound was still okay and it was cooler since you are out from under the tent but if it rains you are in trouble. The main group (Third Day) had a hard time with feedback, I wonder why that was?

I have LaScalas but do not have them in a room to do them justice, reading your writeup makes me want to move mine and swap them out with my Corns for a while. I saw a pair of heresys with a bid of $750 the other day, now they may not come through. I also see that someone bid 450 on H700s-----1st bid. I just do not understand some folks. And I love the sellers that start real high and get no bids. depends on the weekend, I already have plans to travel that direction twice in Sept. for Friday night football games. I am not sure of the dates. I went to a store in Savannah last week. I knew they carried Klipsch, big sign on window told me so. As soon as I walked in I was asked if I needed any help. I stated I was there to listen to some Klipsch heritage line, the guy looked and me and stated "never heard of the stuff", knowing that not everyone refers to old line as Heritage, I asked if they stocked,,,,(and I named each style), Nope........All they had was the THX. and it was all in a listening room in the back hooked up to NOTHING.

Well, I have been on the purchasing end of several items. If klipsch product is the same and MSRP is $999.00 I would say the dealer is paying somewhere around $333 to $450. The cost of running a business is big ESPECIALLY if you are not selling thousands of an item. I was in one business and hated stocking big ticket items. My largest competitor was mail order and if I matched them I was making about 10 to 15 percent. Not enough to stay in business. So if you want the speakers and you want to keep your dealer around, buy them and be happy.

remember that bulbs can run in the $300 plus range which kind of scares me off of the used market. If I get a used one for half of new price but then have to purchase a bulb in less than a year, I ask myself if it was really worth it. I am borrowing a Dukane this summer and the room needs to be dark but works great.

Heresys are great but just wait until you get the Cornwalls!! Because you have entered the "Klipsch Zone", you WILL get the upgrade bug. Probably sooner than later. hehehehe, but I still love my Heresys and my neighbors have come to enjoy them as well.

I just picked up some MDF and painted it with exterior flat enamel. I have left it out but some have told me too much water will make it swell. But for the 12 bucks I spent I do not really want to move it that much. Plyboard would have been lighter but I thought it would bow faster. I am using a Dukane (borrowing it for the summer). I think if I was to purchase one I would get an Infocus 4805(I think that is the number). It does have to be dark, so right now we do a concert DVD from 7 to 9 while we grill and eat, able to see a little of the end and put the movie in at 9.
