A Teddy Bear is one of the gifts that I give to a newborn baby. I love them myself and used to carry some in the car for children when I'd answer a call and the child was upset. Comforting. Thanks doudou. Enjoy the rest of your day, keep smiling. Win dodger ---------------- what do you mean by this "the stupid part is I was looking for it to be something different, not noticing the nose"? i also like teddy bears, that one of the reason my girlfriend call me doudou for the size of my avatar, even if it s too little, i cannot change it. i m very happy to talk with you dodger and i know you respect each members of the forum.so i will enjoy the rest of my day and i will continue to smile
  2. is it because my nickname here is doudou and you think it was doo doo? i know my nickname is a little bit ambigous, but i d like to keep a little french touch even if all is in english here ps:a "doudou" is the teddy bear (or any other old piece of clothe) the little children take everywhere with them.without it they cannot do anything especialy sleeping.

I feel stupid. ---------------- i think Champagne taste beer budget give a good answer even if it s not totaly exact.but as he said the exact numbers are not really important.what is important is the way he explain this and he didi it well. and dodger, is my avatar to little for you? why do you feel stupid?

Its a lot bigger difference then that. The speed through the wiring is many many many thousands of times faster then the speed of sound through the air. For example if we go by a causal estimate of the electricitys speed through the wiring at half the speed of light in 1ms the electricity will travel about 491,785 feet.... or about 93 miles. In that same time the sound traveling through the air will go about a foot. Shawn ---------------- if you want to be precise, the speed of electricity is about 66% of the light speed. anyway with the answer of Champagne taste beer budget i m sure everybody here has understood.
  5. i don t think overclocking the sound card of 3mhz can damage the sound card.i ve done this and my sound card is style alive. make the test craftsman advices to you. you will know if it s the computer or the speakers. it can also be because of some poor quality media(not well encoded mp3,...), or a wire not well plugged.

  8. what about 5 monobloc tube amp and a solidstate preamp? (it s a question not an answer, one of my friend want to make a tube amplified home theatre with the 5 RF35 and a nad amp/preamp he already got and a nad amp/preamp)
  9. i bet it s because of the dog. the centers are high enough so he cannot damage the drivers.but the floor standers are not high enough. am i wrong?
  10. oups...sorry for the double post

I think that should reduce your power consumption to those channels (at lest until you get seperate amps for them), and since the sub is picking up the low frequency anyways...? Just a thought, good luck! Scott ---------------- i aggree with ottscay: if you set the rf7 as small, the sub will produce the bass and the rf will ask less power. or try different frequencies for the crossover on your amp.

  13. if the sub is always on you can turn it off when you don t use it.

Also, my amplifier only has one output for the subwoofer so I am using a y cable from radio shack to be able to plug in to the back of the subwoofer. Is there a quality cable that I can purchase somewhere? Thanks... ---------------- on the auto mode the led should turn red into 15 minutes. for the Y cable, you don t need to use both of the rca plug. when you use the two you have a 6db increase on the signal coming to the sub, so it plays louder.that s all. i ve made my sub cable my self, it s not very beautifull but it sounds good.
  15. and if you put a 400mhz memory chip in a pc that need a 533 the pc will slow down if the bios is well setup.but it will works. i did not see your pc was at 1066, of course you should not put the chip of your cousin in your pc.sorry.next time i ll read the post twice before answering
  16. i made a little mistake it s 533 *2 ok toddvl, i know what doo-doo means. but if you look closer at my user name you will see that it s writen DOUDOU , not DOO - DOO. so it doesn t means the same thing at all. in french a doudou is the teady bear little children keep with them all the time. i hope in your children in the usa don t have poop always in their arms
  17. the hd need to be set as master or slave with the jumpers behind them, else it won t work. and if you only plug the hard drive and do nothing else i think only the os of the master hard drive will run.

But, the point of not being aware of the Reference Line also came up. If you only go to BB, that would definitely be true. ---------------- it s a good thing to aware the newbies that there are several klipsch line. but the only lines we heard about here are the heritage and the reference. and when someone ask something about synergy, the only reply he gets is "go reference or heritage". in usa it doesn t worth buying the synergy because the reference are not a lot more expansive. people on the forum forgot one thing: klipsch also sells speakers abroad and they are very expansive. so making the step from synergy to reference is not always easy. if someone, who can only afford synergy, come here and ask a question on syrergy, he will receive no help at all when the answer are:" go for reference". in a nutshell, people here don t really answer the questions on synergy product.
  19. if there is a fuse behind the sub check it. the fuse on my 2.1 blew and after replacing it, i ve never had any problems
  20. but you can use a receiver as a preamp/processor and use some separate amp. so you will have the gadgets and all the features of the receiver and the quality for the amp. but i ve a question now: is the processor of a receiver as good as a separate pre/pro?
  21. your hard drive is 120 Gb i guess you have a nice setup. don t worry about some upgrade, you can still do a lot of thing with your pc.
  22. your ram is 512(1066 is 2x512), it s the best today. i think your P4 @2,8 work at 800mhz for the bus frequency. so ram @ 400 should be enought. but wait for some more answers to be sure.
  23. DDR is the one we found in most pc today. that s the minimum to know. it exist at diferents speed. 266/333/400 and 512 mhz with DDR2
  24. if he sells some "pc3200 @400mhz" and if your computer accept DDR ram it should match without any problem if your computer works only at 333mhz, the ram you added will works only at 333 even if you by some 400. in a nutshell, no need to buy some 400 if you put it in a computer that make it work at 333.a bran new 333mhz chip can be cheaper than an old 400mhz chip(it depends on where you buy it, in france the 333 are often more expansive than the 400). i hope it will help you.
