  1. Hey guys, I moved back to south Fort Worth. I was curious as if there was any any interest in coming to my house for a listening party/dinner. I was planning to bring the smoker out, brisket or pulled pork. Up to you guys. I have the THX Ultra II system, that is actually 7.4, wanted to add two more subwoofers. The RF63 system (if it isn't sold by then) will be up and running, Epic CF-1's in the bedroom powered by Carver and a Sony TA9000-ES, and upstairs Dali's powered by a Carver TFM-45, a Juicy Music Blueberry, and also a Tercel, with Dali speakers. The THX system is powered by Krell, and if someone wants to bring speakers, I have a McIntosh MC2102 that could use some use. We do need to find and agree on a date, and my number is 214 799 7911 David
  2. Is there any interest in me bringing my McIntosh MC2102?
  3. Hey Lee, sorry I was a quite a bit late, but just emailed you. Look forward to seeing ya!! David
  4. I seem to be left off of the list. I have my flight ticket, but no one to pick me up from the airport in Indy. Hope it is, I suppose.
  5. How do you guys think this would compare to my Carver AV-705x that I have in my bedroom system?
  6. I have a pair of CF-1's in my bedroom. Have not had a problem out of them, they never sound harsh, and have excellent bass, for my taste. They're being powered by a Harman amp, and a Sony TA9000ES processor.
  7. I have one and love it, but I don't have a cylinder subwoofer.
  8. I went to our local StarPower and auditioned the 63's and 83's. Granted they were in two completely different listening rooms, my ears liked the 63's better. Went home with them that day and haven't looked back.
  9. I live in a highrise in downtown Dallas, and we got closer to 4". Especially on the pooldeck. Outside close to the entrances to the underground tunnels someone had a tape measure and got right at four inches. Crazy!
  10. i wouldn't give mine up for the world! They're one of the few things that can keep me happy =)
  11. I'm sure the 1812 would get those suckers all nice and warm with 2k watts going through em []
  12. We haven't had much luck at all with ours down here in TX. Being in a drought and it being this hot, hell I wouldn't want to grow either. We did get a few, though. Only about 2.5" in diameter, though. The peppers are doing about the same, as well.
  13. hah that'd be awesome if they sold Klipsch. I think the only audio they have are those large Technics boomboxes, and I think they may have a Technics turntable as well.
  14. I see a Sonic T amp, of course the ipod, and I'm gonna guess your forte II's?
  15. Whoa! Excellent job! They look amazing!
  16. Zuke, have you heard Khorns before? I believe there are some guys in the DFW area who own a pair or two if you're interested in hearing them. The only person I can think of off the top of my head is Dr Bill.
  17. I'm thrilled with mine as well! I haven't received the electric bill yet, but since this TV is lit by LEDs its supposed to draw less than 100 watts. We'll see here in a few weeks I guess!
  18. Gosh that makes me feel bad for just buying a new TV a few weeks ago :-/
  19. I have a friend who has a newer Range Rover with about 20k miles on it, and he's on his fourth set of bags for the air suspension. I used to want one, but with all of the problems I've heard of, and the fact that I don't like being that far off the ground (I stick to two seaters) I tend to shy away from them. I still wouldn't mind seeing one in front of the house though. I'm not sure if this has much to do with it, but maybe an alignment will help? My sister has a new Mustang GT, and the rubber was eaten right through the middle of the tire, causing it to separate. An alignment and a new set of tired remedied the problem for her.
  20. Congratulations! I'm glad you like them, that's a good speaker you got there. And welcome to the forum!
  21. If you're lucky you usually can. I don't have much to compare it to, though, since I've been here all my life. There is a difference here from being out in the boonies and being in the city, though.
