Good Zim. Yeah the bad shitt is N and E but just now Heavy rain, 50-70 mph winds. Just let up a bit. Lived here all my life, typical Tstorm season, wind, rain, hail that one hopes doesn't develop into Tornados. Part of the deal in these parts, huh Zim.?

    Tornado time

Hunkerin' down in western KCK. Pitch black, tornado sirens howling. Guess its time to pay attention to the TV and computer radar. These systems have been watched for several days. It's go time ---
  7. What are the weather guessers' predicting for the 500? Around KC we have 40% chances for the next 6 days. Since we got back from Hope on Sunday we're at 3+ inches. Had 3/4 inch this morning in about an hour. Looks like it can pour any minute.
  8. Wish you had brought those to Hope where I had opportunity to low ball you on those too. Nice, good luck.
  9. Posting IN the trunk of a Toyota, now that's dedication.
  10. I usually stay out of the fray on yes/no buying speakers. If it were me I would pass on these and hunt down some choice LaScallas to enjoy a fully horn load system. Oh, by the way do you have his contact information?
  11. Only one 500 for us but about half dozen F1 races at the Brickyard. Like many sporting events/racing you have to be there on site. The enormity of place has to be experienced. Bring your walking shoes ----
  12. You weren't jokin' Capt. Those are swweeet! Are they your first KHorns?
  13. Maybe good BBQ has passed you by Oldtimer??
  14. It's kind of a Kansas City thing. Take the tips of a smoked brisket that have become overly smoked, heavily barked, burnt. Trim those from the heart of the brisket before slicing and serve. Great bark on the outside, moist and tender inside. Damn good eatin'.
  15. I could probably be there in time for brunch Martini's! Or what better way to utilize your vodka stash than brunch Bloody Mary's? And I'll bring the BBQ brisket burnt ends stuffed olives. Now Thats how you stuff an olive!!
  16. I once had a MD tell me if you insist on drinking drink Gin. The most filtered of the clear sprits. He didn't advocate heavy drinking but felt it was a slower death than the typical drinker will experience. Ah what the hell, CEC shake me another one.
  17. I just found you oodles of six foot and over IC's all done up in wrapping and well shielded, some for as little as $600-$700. What a deal. Now the purttier ones filled with actual snake oil to dampen each and every foot and extend all frequency high and low can be had for under $3K. Another good value.
  18. Look at AudioGon as there are numerous folks selling cottage industry cables. Any length your heart desires and many from quality materials.

    What I Got Today!

You don't listen to the radio when you drive?Sent from my SM-N920P using Tapatalk I'd bet he listens to the wail of the 5.0 Coyote at 7 grand -- Shu -- ?
  20. Many good ideas with the best intentions. I say we go for it. But like several have said for many people it is just a job, they are making speakers and may care less. They have no interest in the history of Klipsch or PWK. They are there for a weekly paycheck. And I am glad the plant has remained open and keeps many employed. And to add that the employees can't afford the product made by there own hands, think about it. I know I can't afford a new pair of KHorns or LaScallas and how many forum members buy new Heritage? Safe to say a small %. This is and always be the dilemma of the factory worker. How many German factory workers building MB, BMW and the like are buying what they build? I say it's a noble effort to pursue.
  21. ---- and martini's, beer, wine, ribs, chicken, music, slaw, fish, potatoe salad, music, prizes, prizes, bacon, eggs, music, Fortes, Heresys, KP600's, new Friends, etc., etc, etc. Needless to say good times were offered and accepted.
  22. And I can verify this man knows his way around a martini!
  23. My question would be - what is powering your KHorns? Or might those people have tin ears?
  24. Come on, I bet your carry money will cover it! Bring some $$$, have a look/listen, take her home. Already in travel box, drool packaging applied.
  25. Having decided to drive to Hope I can bring a nice 7/10, pair of Oak Quartets. If anyone has serious interest I will more than happy to load 'em up. Pictures were posted in a previous post. $450. Please PM if truly interested and they will be there. Also for sure bringing a Dennis Had KT88 integrated.
