  1. I find the "Weaselpecker" picture very, very difficult to believe.....interesting, funny, but truly doubtful....
  2. Aren't there enough "adult" sites out there already? Definitely not in favor of this (if you are serious).....and I'm no prude.

    Hey Beautiful...

The black face is an aftermarket addition that is well done. There is a gentleman on AK that does these for certain Marantz models, not all. There are a lot of aftermarket, reproduction wood cases out there, some nice, some not so nice. Very difficult to tell from photos, so be careful. The 2270 is a nice machine, not a Marantz top of the line, but pretty sweet.
  4. Well, I have to say that I just ground a one cup portion in my wife's Gaggia machine, and then brewed it exactly like I always do, via Chemex just to compare with my soon to be retired cheapo Melitta burr grinder..... Big difference in smoothness and body. Really good...I might just stick with that for a while.
  5. OK, for you newby....pick up the speaker, raise it up over your head, and shake it really hard. If a screw or a capacitor comes out through one of the woofers, then you've found it!!
  6. I spoke with a lady customer service rep from AT&T last night who had one of the thickest Canadian accents I have ever heard....it was great.
  7. Well, there's always the surgical option....
  8. This site is not translating your post above.
  9. Yes, burr for sure. Looking at a Baratza Encore or Virtuoso. Both have great reviews.
  10. Amazon, cheap and fast. Well, ok, was looking for a specific brand and model recommendation.....I am very, very well acquainted with Amazon....
  11. You mean, like the laundry stuff? Whoa. I use straight white vinegar, and it works great. I run it about halfway through, shut off, let it sit for 15-30 mins, finish the cycle, then do it again, and rinse several times. Like a charm.
  12. Gentlemen, I need a new small electric burr grinder, not too expensive, for my dark roast Chemex pour over brew. I use my wife's Gaggia for espresso, but it's far too big and bulky. Any recommendations?
  13. Listened to some Bob James, Earl Klugh, George Benson last night on my LSI's. Low to moderate level, Marantz 1250 integrated amp, via Spotify. Absolutely beautiful. I use my Chorus II's for Rock, Blues, Soul and they are as equally adept at those types of music. Not saying the LS are not, it's just that I prefer the Chorus in those situations, (at higher levels).
  14. Too loud for what? I own a beautiful pair of LSI's and have no idea what you are referring to.
  15. I just finished installing mine. Be patient, be extraordinarily careful when you replace the magnet back on top of the diaphragm and gasket. Here is a link to the Crites procedure that will tell you everything... http://www.critesspeakers.com/rebuild_k-77_alnico_tweeter.html
  16. Interested if anyone has been in contact with them lately, or has purchased trim pieces.
  17. Sorry, not true. I have two pairs of Chorus II's, two pairs of La Scala's, neither of each in corners, and they rock. I say, get both. As above , buy now, think later.
  18. The corners are stainless, the straight pieces are aluminum.
  19. absolutely agree with this! They are two different animals....unfortunately (or fortunately....) I really, really like them both.
  20. A pair of what I believe to be (or, at least what I have read on the internet, which I am sure is true....) of first generation K-700 horns that are quite thick and stout. Have a few bumps and bruises, but who cares, you never see them anyway, right? Driver threads and everything else is great. Not exactly sure what to ask for them, but how about $110 shipped? PM me if interested.
  21. Both of mine read 8.8. Great packing job by the way Duder!!
  22. Two things....I'm disappointed that there aren't 10 pairs available, otherwise I would replace all of my tweeters... Second, I sure hope they do sell, cause then I'll put my 20 year old 14 gauge Monster speaker cable for sale at $200 per foot. I have those on my watch list....
  23. Haven't we seen these listed here previously? Very familiar....
  24. Okay, that's cool. Now I know…
