  1. Don't use the cans very much, but the honey bunches is not feeling well, and I just felt like crankin' it up. Clapton Crossroads 2013 is my major fallback. Great stuff.
  2. Our Seahawks will be feasting on Patriots.......in the second half. Close game, field goal I think.
  3. ^^^^Î was waiting for something like that....perfect.
  4. And, the newer K-700 weighs a full 16oz more than the old model.
  5. I would hazard a guess that it's only the SX-1080. That's just an OK price, nothing wonderful. But it does look good.
  6. Since it's Noritake, I wonder if I could choose a lovely pattern to match my bone china? Maybe put the Nutube on a wedding registry?
  7. I get it, I really do....but here's the thing....I don't mind the occasional snap, crackle and pop...it's all part of the game, the allure. I don't need an $8000 TT with a stylus made from Haley's Comet, an isolation platform crafted from the Petrified Forest, and a record cleaner certified by NASA.....If you want to go there, fine, have at it. I'm just sayin'....lighten up.
  8. i do not have that problem when playing a CLEAN album. All of my vinyl is CLEAN, but I don't buy brand new "audiophile pressings", and obviously you don't hang around the $2.00 bins like I do. And that's just fine.
  9. Well, if I had my choice...it would be at Seth's house again, but hey, I'm happy just looking at the stove and island countertop....! If I'm able to make it, I would certainly bring wine, and I second the Batavia pizza, I thought it was very, very good. And of course all of the other cheeses and appetizers there were simply outstanding.....
  10. Hey Joseph, I think you hit at least part of the issue with that turntable, and that was disconnecting the built in preamp. Many, many folks who own it said that's exactly what they did as well, and it made a big difference, because even when it was switched "off" it was not truly completely out of the circuit. I loved the look of the unit, thought it was well put together, but just didn't want to hassle with the preamp issue. And, I played it across a few different receivers and amps. Now currently pursuing a vintage TT that is being restored. Not big bucks, but nice.
  11. I am hoping to make it, not sure yet, but has there been a venue decided?
  12. Earl, I went in another direction with my TT purchase and got a vintage machine that is currently being restored, however, if I had bought new in that price range, from everything I read, and from all of the advice I received, it would have been that exact machine. Again, that's a very good price....
  13. From all of the research I have done, $950 is a really nice deal.....Everywhere I am seeing it is $1495.
  14. all kinds of info on this page, whether it's an 800 or not. some of the photos are amazing. https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=electro+voice+patrician+800
  15. Hi Moray, would you mind detailing the mods you would recommend for the Chorus II's? Thanks so much.
  16. So, I take it that these may be essentially European Decorators? Can you find out if they are fully functional, get more photos, crossovers? What's the asking price?
  17. One of the most beautiful pairs of Belle's I've seen yet....GLWS
  18. If the Patrician is anything like my Aristocrat or Regency, there is a good possibility that the front panel actually slides off the entire enclosure. You may have to lay the speaker on it's back, look on the bottom of the front panel, and there may be screws or wooden blocks holding the panel in place. Those would need to be removed, and the panel would then slide off toward the bottom of the unit. I hope this helps.
  19. Ready for a good time?? In case you haven't seen it. With Derek Trucks Video isn't exactly the greatest, (maybe check it out on an alternate source) but the full tune is awesome. This is from YouTube, but the good one is on the Crossroads 2013 BluRay,....it's worth it. I've not been disappointed with a Crossroads concert (or video) yet.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVojSnrmh2g and I don't mind saying the bass player and drummer are pretty kickA$$ them selves on this tune...
  20. As mentioned, and I highly recommend....talk to Justin at ampsandsound.com. Great guy, great products.
