  1. Michigan, 1967, only one name, The Stooges And a lot of Doors
  2. Not a KHJ-DCR-402 Supposed to be custom, by folks in Hope. Limited ed front panel, ltdned. wood 502 RD Horn. No replacement horns available, no extras ones for parts, all signed by RD and guy hwo makes, them and numbered. Cost no object on drivers. That's never been available
  3. But keep this in mind: "Companies should replace weak-sauce audiophile music with something like Hendrix in the West if you must do a vinyl demo - and don't forget to crank it up a little. Respectfully, if your demo system can't play Hendrix, then stay at home, because your rig sucks." See more at: http://audiophilereview.com/audiophile-music/better-demo-music-actually-sells-true-high-end-audio.html#.dpuf
  4. Nirvanna: MTV unplugged There is a famous male gospel group, a capella, with a bass singer deeper than Barry White on Roy's demo CD Female singer version of Spanish Harlem
  5. Probably so. Roy did say those speakers were in the top 3 speakers he has ever heard. They were 100K. Roy can get you there, or better, for under 15K.
  6. Nope. Both were used as designed and delivered. No subwoofer, no mods, no changes. I didn't take deep bass response into account on the comparison since that was a given for the 7s. You were able to block out the deep bass how?
  7. This is a test run, I think I can get 200 people for an eKlipsch event, Musuem fundraiser, hosted by a Klipsch dealer. It that goes well, I am going to get 400 people in Hope at Rodneys, or at the plant/musuem, and 800 in Indy @ a place TBD in April, 2024. It goes from Texas to Maine and hits Hope and Indy, and Paducah but only on very fringe. With that money I hope we can build an addition to musuem that includes a small theater, classroom and additional exhibit space. So I need 2017 to be a decent showing.
  8. The people I am talking with at Klipsch asked if it was coming through Indy, and I was checking to see if there was anything closer. Last week a few of the Klipsch people thought it was the greatest thing they had heard of, and few thought I was nuts. I want to make it a big fund raiser for the Paul Klipsch Museum in Hope. Do you have room for 100 cars, and about 200 people in chairs in Paducah that would destroy crops, upset your livestock, would be relatively cow patty free that day (Monday)? Travis
  9. It is 2 minutes duration in Providence and it is 4.5 hours drive from Indy to Providence.
  10. We have 450 acres near Providence KY. Not sure how close to the red line you have to be. I will check Providence and let you know duration.
  11. Closest to Indy is halfway between Bowling Green and Nashville. Who has a piece of land in that area?
  12. Just let me know when y'all do it so I can be up there the next day to buy it off craig's list. What's it going to run? 1,000 for speakers, another thousand for the system. Just a hunch, I bet they would rather have you put that money together for a scholarship or two for their kids. They are offered deep discounts on Klipsch products of various sorts and types, I think they have to sign an agreement that they won't sell it before a certain amount of time has expired. Tremendous gesture, sincerely, but I would think you would want to know what they really want. Who do you have there, that is NOT in management, who can find out what they would really like? Whether it is a product made in Hope, headphones, ear buds, CASH, scholarship, etc. Are all employees elegible? Management and non-management? Just speaker "builders." Do they have to be there a minimum amount of time, or could they have started the day before? I think it should go to the person who can eat the most ribs (cooked by Rodney) in ten minutes.
  13. Yes it would, I wonder how many hundreds, thousands, probably millions of people will be thinking the same thing. But Yellowstone is overdue to blow up in a cataclysmic event so I am glad I caught that early. I could see wanting to witness this in a serene and peaceful setting. However, I'm not that guy. I want to piss off Coytee's neighbors and make the whole day an unforgettable experience, topped of by actually looking at what is normally the dark side of the moon obscuring the Sun. KC is right on the line, but St. Joseph is in prime territory, maybe we can find a volunteer up there in that area?
  14. Richard, that is plenty big. They would come about 10 a.m., listen to music, set up their cameras, set up their own chairs, etc. Partial phase starts about 1 pm, and totality is about 230 pm, it lasts 2:20 at your house, tear down and give everyone the boot about 5, or whenever you want. "Stay all night, dance a little longer."
  15. I think we should set up at both, and try have it in multiple locations, about 4 hour car ride apart along the route. Metro and Coytee are about that apart. If weather is bad in one location, can go 4 hours away to get to clear weather. I'm going to try and call it the 2017 Solar eKlipsch ©, Get KGI to trademark it and support local events in partnership with Klipsch Heritage Museum Association. Try and get Roy to let us drag a state of the art cinema system up to a cow pasture somewhere, etc. Goal: Make a astronomical phenomenon even more spectacular and memorable; and help raise funds for the musuem. It may go nowhere but I am going to float it to them tomorrow and see. eKlipsch 2017, it's coming.
  16. Another song on the play list: The Doors: Break on Through

    20% off

That is awesome for them to do this.
  18. What is the size of the field by the house, in acres or demensions?
  19. Further than I thought, we would have to make the weather call day and night before based on forecasts. Cannot have cloud cover.
  20. This is the map to use to see how much the duration of the totality is in a particular area. http://xjubier.free.fr/en/site_pages/solar_eclipses/TSE_2017_GoogleMapFull.html?Lat=37.0833&Lng=-88.6&Zoom=9&Map=%27ROADMAP%27&OMap=0 The goal is to be in a spot that is close to 2 minutes, 30 seconds. I have mapped Richard's and it is 2 mins and 21 seconds. We would start the lp so that the last note was playing as the totality ended. The freakish think about a solar eclipse is that it will start out a normal summer day, totally bright, and in CTZ and ETZ, anout the middle of the day it will grow darker and darker and then in a quick instant it will be like someone turned the sun off, it will be as dark as it is with a full moon. About a thousand times more intense than a lunar eclipse. So other songs, You're So Vain has to be at top of the list. Need to play that right before DSOM or after.
  21. Like I said, it will be weather dependant, I thought we would get Kevin to drive his KP 600s up to Coytee's who would have his big rig set up and ready to go. If we had hint of cloud cover we all haul *** up to Paducah. I am trying to figure out how to match that all up with the new Klipsch Heritage Museum Association. How far, in time and distance is it from Knoxville to Paducah?
  22. That is him, but it might be a Monmouth shirt, where is nephew is attending, and have a very similar "M"
  23. Definitely not my favorite. That's the thing about gin. There's a wide variety of tastes. Vodka differences are more subtle once you get into the nicer stuff. As far as gin goes, I like Tanquery Ten and New Amsterdam. For Martini's I like, in this order of preference: Monkey 47 (German), Hendrick's and then Anchor. For Gin and tonics, I prefer Tang Rangpur.
