  1. Every now and then they demand macaroni pictures. Nice ones using clear glue and posted on the refridgerator. Other than that, play them loud enough often enough to keep the dust off, or failing that you could dust them if they get dusty. With the grilles on this should be a rare task, maybe once every 15 years.
  2. Good call Michael. Surf wax is just not attractive on furniture.
  3. I also use the mofi liners from sleeve city. A pack or two makes a great gift!
  4. Happy birthday Jim. Many happy returns. I also remember being 26. It's a miracle I'm still alive!
  5. Fantastic! Great to see you back.
  6. Worried some dufus might lick your lp's? []
  7. This thread brought you out of hiding Ray, or was it just coincidence?
  8. Like a cat would willingly work for anything...
  9. There is alcohol and then there is alcohol. Do not use isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). It is OK to use completely denatured alcohol in small amounts with triple steam distilled water. Completely denatured alcohol does not have the impurities of isopropyl, and will say 190 proof or more on the label.
  10. I know what you mean. Idea after idea, yet after all these years not one thing (not even one!) is yet to hang from our ceiling, except in the garage. Well, OK, there is that little model of the moon. Still, why do we even have cross-beams up there if not to hang things from?
  11. Weenies. Freaked out by death? Not Doors fans then...
  12. There really wasn't much of a manual that came with mine, except to recommend placement near the corners about a foot from the wall and toed in. Start with that and experiment for your situation making slight adjustments. Start with being able to stare right down the throats of the horns.
  13. Platinum, however will give you greater price swings usually with more upside potential than gold.
  14. Ah well...it was your quote and your thread as I recall...in general questions.
  15. Very good Mark. This comes very close in helping explain the problem (and the inherent unsatisfaction) in the philosophy discussion a while back regarding "someone else can't tell me how I see blue."
  16. That's a hereford right bender?
  17. Obviously at $199 it must be a great deal! I bet it's an even better deal at $59.99.
  18. Subtle details can definitely be heard on Mallette's system.
  19. Still in last. They could have taken two points from the Avs last game, but gave up that last minute goal again. They got the 2nd point in the shootout, but it was so unnecessary to let the Avs get one.
  20. That is just your amp running out of steam Phil. Once you start clipping you will hear that exact description from a Chorus II or a Forte II. Those speakers have some wild impedance dips. You need a stout amp if you want to step on the throttle. I've had 425 of QSC wpc on my Chorus II's and they didn't even break a sweat. Probably could put a 1000 wpc into them. All they do is get cleaner and hit harder. Having lived with forte II's (why the lower case colter?) for 19 years and recently stepping up in wattage and quality I will reinforce stormin's observation of cleaner and harder.
