  1. Since they are not replacing the pair, I'd simply ask for a discount and keep the near-consecutive numbers
  2. Right. There's no way that they would output the same voltage and you would end up feeding current into the 977 from the 757 or from the 977 into to 757, depending on gain. BTW, your NAD handles low impedance well and do do as well as an outboard amp with the RF7.
  3. Since you already have the La Scala, I would start with a horn-loaded sub (or two) if you have the room for it (or them).
  4. I tend to agree that the La Scala will be too high. That said, doesn't that mean that the screen is a tad high as well? Mine drops lower than yours, and my La Scala starts off on the floor so is much lower than your plan.
  5. My room is of similar size and layout and I have room for 7.1... and two rows! Do you mind elaborating or perhaps a picture or two? Thanks. Lots of pics in my sig... My first row is ten feet from the front wall, perfect for TV and immersive for projection. With the room 18+ feet deep, there's room for a second row behind. Side surround speakers on the side walls and rear surround speakers in the back wall, all far away from the front row so no speaker is ever screaming into your ear.
  6. My room is of similar size and layout and I have room for 7.1... and two rows!
  7. New Jubs for sure. New JubScala center using the new La Scala bass bin. 4K projector. New receiver. More subs.
  8. Used KPT-100 would fit width-wise at 11.5" wide and would stick out of the ceiling just enough to look cool.
  9. Sweet system! Are you thinking of a conventional speaker, ceiling-mounted? Or specifically in-wall speakers?
  10. That Tron sequences of scenes goes from full throttle to quiet (with pretty women) to full throttle again and is my best LFE demo.
  11. Amazing work, as usual.
  12. Good idea to hide the pictures when it's time for a movie!
  13. These are the thin metal french cleats I was talking about. Thanks Bill.
  14. I mounted a piece of 1/2" birch plywood on the back, and mounted the plywood to the wall using thin metal french cleats. My terminal cap is on the top rather than the back so i didn't need to leave room for that.
  15. With the bass bin polarity now reversed, how is the imaging without bi-amping? I expect that would make a big difference, no?
  16. My KPT-100 take bolts on their back, which I used to custom mount them.
  17. He is going for a world-class HT for sure!
  18. That sounds a little snob'ish to me... But let's not start that kind of flame war here please.
  19. I was worried first at having smaller 8-inch speakers as rear surround, but the KPT-100 impressed me quite a bit. I listen to them in stereo for a bit and they did well! The VB design might be good for you if you like RS.

    Moving on

Last day for you Amy! Hope the people at work are taking you out to lunch today; I would. You are a very classy person and we'll all miss you around here... unless you register as a regular user and come back to say Hi on occasion? That would be cool; that way we wouldn't worry about how you're doing. ;-) So on to bigger and better things! Best of luck to you!!
  21. Yeah, my screen also cost as much as my projector... Granted it's electric.
