  1. Well dont worry. Apparently the govt is setting aside a cool 50 million from the proposed stimulus package for global warming research. We can finally be done with all this global warming that is affecting the weather patterns.[] Just in time too.

UNAUTHORIZED dealers will sometimes remove the serial number sticker.
  4. It has already passed in one branch of govt to extend the deadline, and now on to the other. I think they said June 14th for the extension as far as the "switch"
  5. Here is a serious smoker/griller from Traeger. They seem to have nice products. They employ wood pellets. I am thinking of getting a scaled down model. http://www.crawfordsupplyco.com/index.php/www/pellet_grills/home_grills/bbq150_-_stationary_smoker_grill
  6. Personally I like the Bell'o offerings.
  7. Sorry to hear about the damage. I guess I dont understand why she is complaining about the size of the center channel. This is the one speaker that is pretty much concealed and out of "her" way. Thats too bad. Keep working her[]
  8. Yea well maybe if he was that worried about the economy he should have held off on having a new "presidential limo" being built or god forbid scale back the inauguration party. I can only imagine how much that has/will set us back.
  9. All this talk of the govt running out of money and coupons for the switch has me wondering if that takes into account all the coupons that were never redeemed. I know I never got to use mine before they expired.
  10. I have a pair of the Sanus NF stands in cherry that I use for my cherry RB5's. They are 24" and puts the horn at ear level when seated. They are very sturdy as long as you dont have a drunk girlfriend or ex girlfriend I should say nowadays.[]
  11. I have read MANY reviews about thermal carafes not being that great. The biggest problem I read about is that the carafe is cold in the morning if you do programmed start times, which leaves luke warm brewed coffee in the carafe. Many people told of needing to temper the carafe before brewing to ensure a HOT cup of coffee. YMMV.
  12. Just bought my parents for Christmas the same model that Picky has, Cuisinart DCC1200 Brew Central, and they love and swear by it. I never got into hot coffee. On occassion I will do a Vietnamese iced coffee.
  13. I agree, but I am sure most will also agree that IF he does not go to jail that he will play again in the NFL. Just look at Pacman Jones, how many chances is he running on now? 8 or more? These players have no clue. Burress misses a team meeting to take his kid to school and then 2-3 weeks later he is out early morning in a club and shoots himself. What a family man.[:^)]
  14. Maybe I missed something here but I thought you said you initially tried hooking them to a totally different reciever and still had the same poor results. Did you try this before trying different channels on your receiver? You said that sometimes you get occasional sound from your fronts? I would think if you tried hooking your speakers to a different reciever and still had poor results, then the receiver is not at fault.
  15. Just to reinforce what some of the others are saying, the RF3's DO work great. That is my setup as you can see from my equipment listing.
  16. WOW!!! That is wrong on so many levels. Isnt it ironic how the gal in the green got modest and had to wear a "cloth" over her bikini area? Also, check out the girl on the picture left and how she is holding the fat from the "modest" girl so it doesnt touch her. That my friends is PRICELESS. PS. Why is there a pregnant woman in the photo?
  17. It is probably one of those fine 8" Sony Subs. And for those of us who have ever walked into a Magnolia/Best Buy store know just how well the equipment is set up. They are the LAST people I would take audio advice from. Tell him to go back and enjoy his Deaf Tech's
  18. I knew the sound (bass) was going to be killer just from the trailer that was on the Transformers DVD. It did not disappoint.
  19. Dont forget to pick up your free taco from Taco Bell on 10-28-08.[:|] Since there was a stolen base in the opening game of the WS, Taco Bell is doing its part and giving America a free taco between 2 and 6pm. What a promotion.[*-)] For more details go to tacobell.com.
  20. I will need to think more to narrow down a top 10, but I really like Human Wheels from Mellencamp as well. Some of his best writing in that song I feel. Good choice Amy.
  21. Not a pleasant year as far as the 401k goes. I got my statement today, and I am down 24%. OUCH!
  22. I had one of my phones stolen that was on a family plan, and am looking for something to replace it. I did not have insurance on it, so now I would need to purchase a new phone at retail prices. Would like to have a PDA type with a full keyboard for texting capabilites, but not a absolute must have. The phone that was stolen was the LG Rumor with the sliding keyboard. If anybody has a old Sprint phone laying around and not using let me know.
  23. What is your budget? This will clearly help to narrow down the choices. The wives always mess up a good plan dont they? [] They always want to rearrange and it is our stuff that is out of place. Wood or metal? Glasstops?
  24. Just a quick update. I went ahead and purchased some Yokohama Avid TRZ tires. These are rated 80k tread life with a nice smooth quiet ride so far. I will be traveling to northern Ohio and PA next week so I should get a real good test. So far I am happy with them with the limited amount of road time I have had. I got everything out the door for $400, which seems reasonable and the next owner should get a lot of use from them. These Yokohama's got some high praise on tirerack.com. Early reports are that I would recommend these for a midsize sedan if you dont want to break the bank for the bigger name brand tires. Thanks for the suggestions guys.
  25. It is a company vehicle. The drivers are responsible for paying the maintenance costs and getting reimbursed. We just put in a order for a new vehicle but it will probably be 8-12 weeks. The company will sell the vehicle at auction and recoup any monies. I took it in the shop this last weekend and found out that it had a bad wheel bearing. I was wondering why it had gotten so loud while driving it. That was a big part of the problem. I still need tires, but after just spending $400 for the repair I am wondering if I should put an additional 500 into knowing that I will get rid of it in about 3 months. The tires are cupped. I will probably just go and ahead and do the tires. It will just add to the resale I guess. Who makes the Remington's? I guess I will head back over to tirerack.com and look at some more reviews.
