  1. At work we instruct people to go to medicare.gov and check out how to sign up for your part D plan. The plans very depending on your drug therapies and location. You have to plug all that in and compare cost. Good luck Being 65 and just a few medical problems is good. About the only people that are 65 and don't have a few problems are probably dead.
  2. Hey AN where did you get your Sony. I live in the Illinois QCA. Also who did you get to adjust your set?
  3. In the commercial where the guy is zip lining and the pig catches up to him. The pig says pure ---- adrenaline ------ Something. Is it "rush" I've replayed it several times and can't figure it out. I also don't get the humor. Is there something there that I'm not getting outside of a pig on a zip line.
  4. Used CD's the last few. I have bought about 100 used vinyl over the last year. I still have about 70 of them to clean and try out. The CD's I just pop in and play. If they don't they hit the garbage can. Heck Best Buy has old release CD's in wrapper and new for 5 to 7 bucks. Plan on filling in my library with a few of those
  5. My present upstairs set is a 50" Sony DLP that is dying the slow death of the green haze. I thought I would replace it with a LED or plasma. The room does not have light control but where the TV is there is usually no glare problems. TV is used mostly for Television viewing. (I have a projector in basement for movies) I could go to a 55" especially if it doesn't have much boarder. I'm don't know if it is worth getting a 3d now or just go with normal. I don't think I would set around with glasses to watch TV. But if I buy a normal TV am I going to be stuck with the new Nach cassette tape deck just 1 year before CD's really hit the market. Will there be a new 3d type without glasses released or will it go away as a fad. Plasma verses led I see both the pro's and con's. Weight isn't an issue since it sets on a built in cabinet. Very little off angle viewing almost all view is from straight on at about 13 feet.
  6. Forte II's are my first Klipsch. Placement is definitely a priority. 12 to 15 inches should work well to let the passive breath. I used a 100 watt/ch sony ES series and it worked well. No lack of base.
  7. I'm not up to date on lasers. If we are aiming at the speakers, do we know that the keychain type or cat toy type lasers won't damage diaphragms, or whatever, in tweeters? If we're aiming at the listening chair, do we need to make sure nobody is sitting there? All I know about lasers is that Judge Ito asked that they not be pointed at him during the O.J. Trial ... and, of course, what almost happened to James Bond in Dr. No. as in Startrek place them on "stun"
  8. I just up graded my up stairs set up from quintets to RB-35s, Rc 35 and RS 35s. The sound difference is amazing. I'm pushing them with an older Denon 100 w/channel. Of course they don't keep up with the Belle's in the basement.
  9. Whats next on line dental procedures
  10. How about this one Oh sorry wrong kind of model. Miss read title
  11. Just my Linda Ronstadt simple dreams 2 Heart Like a Wheel 3 Living in the USA 3 Nelson Riddle Orchestra 2 Hey How did you know I had a shot gun in the closet? I'll go look later for a more complete list. Lots of boston, stycks, REO, Maybe my wife can make some artsey crafty thing out of them.
  12. What do you guys do with your seconds and thirds on the vinyl. I have bought full collections from some people and have ended up with 2 or even 3 copies of some albums. Of ccurse I listen to them and know which is the best copy and covers and plan on keeping them. Some of the extra copies are ok shape just not as good and definitly listenable. They are almost all very popular albums, that's why everyone has them. I don' t think they would be worth the postage or shipping to send to anyone they were all bought through goodwill, garage sales and Craig's list. Do I have some dollar coasters or frisbees?m
  13. There is little choice on tv as msnbc is beyond left wing(really out there) and cnn is the original left wing channel... I am sorry but your description seems quite biased in favor of a single news organization which is a sentiment I don't understand. Fwiw, I quit listening to "the Media," while Clinton was in office and feel the public discussion since that time has REALLY been diverted into Media driven stories that totally miss the mark on things that are important....Look at what is going on as Political discussion today in regard to the Republicans on ALL media outlets. I am an independent voter and want the Government to work for all Americans including Kermit. Is Kermit American maybe. Is he a citizen no. He just has a "green card".
  14. I will like to here how you like your BenQ. Mine is the PE7700 about a 5 year old model DLP 720p. Picture quality has always been excellent and project has performed flawless. Like I said earlier is that the bulb life has been extremely short and never even close to advertised life. I run it on high altitude which means faster fan speed to try and help preserve bulb life. That also means more noise. I wish you good luck with yours and I am interested on how yours holds up.
  15. I've had a benq for about 3 to 4 yrs. picture quality is great. Plenty bright but you still need some light control in the room. Mine is in a walk out basement man cave. I do not like lamp life though. I have to run it on high elevation settings and bulb lif is still under 1500 hours. Bulbs are expensive. I'm thinking at next bulb replacement I'm going to another brand like the panny. I have a 6 foot by 4 foot screen and football and movies are excellent. I don't watch Bill O reilly or anything like that on it to save bulb life. I do like watching the Major golf tourneys on it thought.
  16. only if she's wearing a good rub and some hickory smoke. Pigs do have a few sweat glands, but they're not very useful for temperature adjustment. When the mercury rises on the farm,Miss piggey wallows in cool water or mud, which has the same evaporation effect as sweating. As my wife says Horses sweat, men prespire and women glow. So maybe miss piggy glows
  17. Also it helps to know where you are located, seriel numbers and ect. If they are what they sound like a local sale and pick up is best. There is also a garage sale thread on the forum that people list and look for used items. Good luck.
  18. I write right, wipe left.
  19. I when out and got the SW-112. It was a tight squeeze but it just fits. Had to remove the rubber feet and it just makes it. I like the sound better than the KSW 10 and it is a much cleaner sounding sub. I chose the sw-112 series for the front firing and front port. Works well in cabinet. I haven't gotten it completely tuned in yet but it is working well. So far a definit thumbs up.
  20. I understand that but I am limited in the size since it has to fit in the cabinet. I also realize that this isn't going to be perfect. I just wanted more of a assessment on how those subs compare to each other and how they will work with the 35's.
  21. I have just recently upgraded my upstairs system from Quintet II's to RS35 RB's, RC 35 center and RS 35 surrounds. The sound is a lot better. Now for the sub. I have a ksw 10 which came with the quintet system. It is set off center left since room lay out dictates that. I have been thinking of putting in a front firing front ported small sub in the cabinet under the TV. This systems is used for mostly watching TV and if I want some serious special effects and such I use my down stairs system with the SVS 12/2 ultra. I would also like the upstairs sub to help with the music from the RB 35's. As before if I'm in to serious listening I go down stairs and listen to my belles. The space in the cabinet has 16 inches in height and a good 24 inches in depth to work with. The width is a goo 36 inches. I thought I might be able to squeeze a sw112 in there. If not a sw 110. I was wondering if these would keep up with my RB 35's or if I should look at the velodyne mini series 10,s and 8s. I would be open for any other suggestions. Any suggestion would have to be front firing with out any passive to rear or down. This sub will not be used for serious HT more just as a boost for the low end for TV and music. The room and space that it will be used in is about 20 x 35 great room with 8 foot ceilings and hard wood floors. I would like any input from anyone that has any of these subs for there opinion on them. Thanks Keith
  22. What fuses do you use in the universals. My son blew mine with some techno base crap. I replaced them with an auto fuse with less amps. I thought that if I went with less amps that they will blow sooner/easier. I haven't had a problem with them blowing to soon yet. They looked like auto fuses so that is why I used them.
  23. Just keep her happy and there is no problem with WAF.
