VTL makes a good product and if the price is right I dont see how you can go wrong.good luck and post your observations.

I have a pair of La Scalas with the AL networks and have been told by many that the AL is by far the worst one,I think the most bothersome thing for me is the sibilance on the vocals,the best bet is to replace the AL as they cannot be fixed,just ordered a pair for mine from Deang.good luck

I have done the vinnie mods to several 3950s,the main improvement is in the bass,pretty easy to do takes a couple of hours and it does make a difference even though the stock unit is very good on its own

Ok there are a pair of Original Forte's and a pair of original Heresey in my local area.what are the pros and cons of one versus the other,will be pairing them up with a 500C

Yeah I know they arent for the low powered crowd but they do play well with tubes as I was using them with vtl monoblocks,figured I would try here before moving them on to audiogon.

Its a very nice amp,I have listened to it many times over the last few years just couldnt pull the trigger,the newer ones have a triode switch on them that is a nice feature plus the el-84 is a great output tube.

Ok these are the last pieces from my system that need a good home,these are very nice speakers but they gotta go to make room for more klipsch and eventually a pair of VRDs.these retail for 5k and I just took them on trade for credit owed by my local dealer,I paid a bit over 2k for them and will consider ALL offers.
