  1. Thanks guys for the comments! It looks like either the Heresy I or Heresy II, one can't go wrong.
  2. Hi All, I'm thinking of getting a pair of Heresys. Is there a difference in sound between the Heresy I and the Heresy II? Thanks,
  3. I would like to get $600 which would include shipping via FedEx insured. Send an e-mail for any questions. Thanks
  4. In case anyone is interested, I have an Aragon Aurum Preamp for sale. The reason for the sale is, I have two of them. E-mail me for any questions or pictures. Thanks
  5. I have no experience with tubes, but I'm really wanting to try the Peach with my Aragon 8008BB amp. (I have La Scala speakers). The thing that concerns me is tube rolling. After reading some reviews on the Peach, some say that they had to do some tube rolling to find the right sound. (I imagine the right sound would be to their ears.) I presently have my 8008BB amp coupled with an Aragon Aurum Preamp. I really think it sounds great like it is, but I can't help but wonder how the Peach would sound because of all the GREAT reviews it receives. I know from some of the post that I've read, it's ok to run a tube pre with a SS amp, but not a SS pre with a tube amp. So I figured that I'm ok with the Aragon amp. Can someone comment on the Peach that has tried it with a SS amp. I would also like to hear from someone that has tried it with both, Tube and SS amps. I would also like to know if an all Tube setup would be the best way to go, or the Peach with my Aragon 8008BB would be just as good.
  6. Thanks John and Colterphoto1 for the comments! Another quesiton, Is it possible to build a pair of La Scala bass cabinets and use an extra pair of AL-3 crossovers that I have to run the bass cabinets. My La Scala's currently use the same type of AL-3's so they would basically be a match. My La Scala's are powered by an Aragon 8008BB amp, I could then use a second Aragon 8008BB amp that I have to power the bass cabinets. Is this possible? Thanks,
  7. Is it possible to build a pair of La Scala Bass cabinets and place them under a pair of La Scala's? I was just wondering if anyone has tried this before, and was it worth it or did it improve anything. If I were to try this, would I need a seperate crossover and if so, what type of crossover would I need and would I also need a seperate amp?

    3.5 mm Cable

Run the 3.5mm cable from your computer to your stereo system and use a ground loop isolator that you can get from radio shack, which is an RCA cable with a ground loop isolator in the middle. It comes with a Y-cable to connect the RCA of the ground loop isolator to the 3.5mm cable. The ground loop isolator will take out the noise from the computer. Hope this helps.
  9. I have an Aragon 8008BB amp that I would like to run a JuicyMusic Peach Preamp with. I have no experience with tube amps or tube preamps. I do have a tube CD player (Jolida JD-100) and a tube phono stage (Jolida JD-9A). After reading the many great reviews on the Peach, I would really like to give it a try. I know Todd (BS Button) gives the thumbs up with the Peach in front of SS amps. I would like to know if there are any others that have any experience with a tube pre in front of a SS amp, and what are their thoughts on the matter? I would also like to know from anyone that has the Peach if they are satisfied with the stock tubes or did they find better ones for their taste? The reason I ask this question is, as I mentioned I have no experience with tubes and therefore if I went with the Peach I really would not know what tubes to try differently. Any comments would be appreicated! FYI- My speakers are the La Scalas
  10. I've always wondered what a Peach would do with my SS Aragon 8008BB amp. I currently have an Aragon Aurum Preamp that I think sounds wonderful with my La Scalas. Can anyone give me their thoughts or experience with a Peach and a SS amp? Does anyone think this would be a great combo with my La Scalas? Thanks,
  11. In reference to what speakerfritz said, "Newer TVs use HDMI, which look like a large USB connection. There was a connection type inbetween tha poped up for a while, I forgot the name of it, but it looks likke a large VGA connection simlar to that used on VGA cards." The cable he is refering to is a DVI cable. The difference between a DVI and HDMI cable, is the DVI cable is video only, which means if you use the DVI cable you will still need the red and white audio cables as the DVI cable does not transmit audio. However, the HDMI cable is one cable that transmits video and audio.
  12. I'm glad someone started this thread because I know alot of people really don't believe there's a difference. I have an Aragon 8008BB amp with an Aragon Aurum Preamp. I use Nordost Blue Heaven XLR cables. HUGE improvement!!
  13. I had the dual KW-120's and the KA-1000 Amp with my La Scalas in a two channel setup and it really didn't make much of a difference. My room size is 20' x 22' x 10' ceilings which I'm sure had something to do with it. Now if your room size is smaller, it may work better for you. IMHO I don't think the La Scalas need a Sub in a two channel setup. I think that you will find out after you add the Subs that they don't need one either. I would be curious to know what you are powering your La Scalas with. I have an Aragon 8008BB amp with the Aragon Aurum Preamp and with this setup it has plenty of bass. I think the Subs would work best in an HT setup. That's just my opinion and therefore wish you the best!
  14. Hi Bill As I am not an expert on the subject, I myself had a ground loop problem that was coming from my cable TV. Not sure if that is your problem but the Magic box from Klipsch fixed my problem. Hope this may help!
  15. I have a pair of 88' La Scalas and would like to replace the AL crossovers. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks,
  16. Thanks Travisc for the compliment! Yes, it's solid 1" threaded rods, 2" solid maple platforms, with brass footers and locks
  17. This is my Samson from Mapleshaderecords!
  18. I picked up a used pair of Heresys and would like to refinish them. I'm not much on wood work so I was wondering if someone can give me some pointers. I would like to remove the old stain to change the color. Any advice would be appreicated. The speakers are made of birch.
