  1. Get rid of the wife and keep the speakers! You will have more peace with the speakers than the wife!
  2. I must say, very impressive looking. Makes you wanna just sit and look at it for a while and admire your nice work. Very Nice! You should be prouds of your self!
  3. dang, these stock crossovers sure do sound awesome though!!
  4. The $1200.00 for a pair of RF-7's is a steal of a deal. I only wish I got mine that good a price. Where in the heck can you get it for that price??? Tell me so I can buy a second pair!
  5. sunburnwilly, all it does is show how ignorant you are, and that you do not know the RF-7 at all, so your comment will be disregarded for sure as you dont know what you are talking about. Klipsch still makes fine speakers and insulting it, or peoples choices is really really in bad and rude lack of good manners as they will let you know here! If you like the heritage speakers, fine for you, Klipsch does NOT make a bad speaker, all are good, and the RF-7's are awesome, you just dont know it, or maybe you are just playing dumb to get a rise out of us. Can you please show more class here and respect every one's choices here without being a snot about it.
  6. The RF-7's are awesome speakers, holy crap sound is right, thought the same when I gots mine. and I still do. I am not running a sub with my RF-7's and it has great punch, slam, and very tight bass with great midrange detail and highs. I dont need a sub here. Try it first without a sub and see what you think. Congrats on your new system, I know you will love it for years to come.
  7. Wowzzz, You got the works! Nice system! Congrats on your new system! I know you will enjoy the RF-7 cause I have those and know they are awesome!
  8. Yes --TBrennan-- In fact it does go as low as the specs. The RF-7's have better and lower bass than I got with my past 3 Klipsch speakers, and best of all, with much better resolution.
  9. Whooz, after seeing all that is involved by the pics, I think I would be scared to try it on my own, looks complicated and I probably would screw somethin up. I donts have any solder skill or know-how of that crossover stuff, guess i know for sure that Dean would have to do mine for me! Looks complicated! I would probably damage the circut board with the screw driver!
  10. thanks, i sent you a PM Dean, hope it went threw to you?
  11. Yea, a girl-friend is supposed to stand by you, not go against me and side with my Mom! If she told me later that and not in front of my Mom, I would respect her a whole lots more, but not side with my Mom in front of me like that cause then it makes my Mom really work on me more. anyways, I quickly figured out how she was, every time I would see her she wanted to know wheres i was taking her to eat, and then the mall to shop some clothes and shoes for her, she would take so long trying things on, i really hated it, and it was getting too expensive for me to do that, whens i told her we are going to start spending some time together doing some free things, she was always too busy to see me and never wanted to see me anymore. Its ok though, she may haves been really pretty but she was empty on the inside. Just tooks me a while to learn that.
  12. It's been done with the Klipsch KLF-30, see how awesome this picture looks! Makes the KLF-30's look even more impressive and massive!
  13. Yeps, very much the Klipsch signature sound that Klipsch is known fors, that is whys we LOVE Klipsch speakers!!!
  14. woodog said: =================================== what does comb filtering sound like? I stacked my 4 cornwalls (currently in use at my church) tweeter to tweeter, and the sound was fantastic! ------------------------------------ WooooooDoooooggggyyyyy, that sounds like total bliss. Bet it sounds awesome filling church space!
  15. Very Sweet! You lucky peice of cake you! Get some felt under that ducky and other stuff you put on the speaker, I hate it when looking at nice used Klipsch Speakers and someone doesnt put felt or somethin to protect that nice wood and cause marring and abrassions! Nothing, but nothing goes on top of mine to keep the wood from any abrassion at all! man-o-man, nice Chorus!
  16. I didnt even think of that, HF for tube and LF for SS. Ill have to remember that! seems would give the bass where the tubes lack for sure. biwire - often wonder about it, seems every thing I read, it's like a 50/50 with people saying yes and no. I plan to try it. yea, when i got my RF-7's they did try to sell me $250.00 10ft biwire cable and made it sound like it has to have it, but they started adding all the other things of the spade and banana connections for the cable at $45.00 each and i had to tell them forget the cables and connects, was gettin too much to handle, they insisted and i had to protest, i hate that when they do that. they told me the speaker price would change if i didnt, i had to get my Dad to help me, but he looks stern and firm and they didnt try it when he was by me. same thing when i bought a car, they wouldnt budge but when i brought my dad, then they were willin to work with me, it sucks!
  17. woops, I meant to say "crossover upgrade", didn't mean to say "crossover fix", or hot top fix, I understand now, thanks for explaining it to me Dean and others here. Sorry for the miss-wording Dean, I promise I'll say upgrade from here on out. Thanks, and thanks for helping me out with being skeptical, Im still learning from you here, even if some think Im still a little sh*t. Thanks all wit the help and explaining to me.
  18. =============================================================== PS. I could live with RF7's but lets be honest, they don't come close to being as aesthetically pleasing as the Khorns... Hmmm... walnut oil wood or cheap plastic grills - 'course, some prefer redheads. =============================================================== Well, that will only be in each eye of the behold! I think both look very nice. My Mom threw a fit when I had Klipshorn's and said they were too big, too ugly, too outdated looking. When my girl-friend agree with my Mom (when I used to have a girl-friend) I wasnt too happy with her anymore for that. Girls like the RF-7 better, and guyz like Klipschorn for sure, and the RF-7 of how they are here. I like both designs. I dont have a BIG room that is needed with Klipschorn, maybe one day?
  19. Thanks Dean for explaining it to me. I know people here donts like me being skeptical about the xover mod, but being human, its a normal thing to be skeptical and Im a learnin from others here that it is an improvement. I sure would like to hear the difference, wish I was at your demo when you showed it. I still dont understand the high thing beings sensitive to the ears for some because I swear, Im just not hearing it here. I dont know if Im not getting it, or if Im not hearing it with my ears not being as sensitive to it than some others on this forum? Maybe's I need to have someone listen with me and point it out to me what to listen for? If I do your crossover upgrade, what should I expect in sound improvement in a % wise rating to give me an idea? 5% 10% 50% ?? With what every one is sending me to do it, Im wondering if I should or not now since they say it does improve the sound overall with a huge difference.
  20. Whowz, that is amazing how real looking she looks! I guess one day we will have waitors and waitress, and all kinds of other task robots like in the future movies. Hmmm, just think what it might be like in 100 years from now???
  21. imperfectcircle25, whats happen to ya? You still tryin to get the RF-7's to work for ya? Hows it goin?
  22. Hmmm, I'm lookin Dean, but I cant find where that article or info is?? If I do your mods in the future, maybe I need to get it without that hot top fix so it will stay the same in that area, love the dynamics the high has with the music performance it gives.
