  1. I've wonder how the Synergy sounds compared to the Reference, been wondering that! Tried to listen to the Synergy at Best Buy but the wires were missing on them for a listen and no one wanted to hook them up, they were like, he's just a kid don't bother with him type of way since I still look like i'm in high school. ====walking into a room and seeing this enormous wooden enclosure is a big wow factor.===== I agree, for a guy that is, lots of girls don't but don't know why that can't see it like me! ====Some of us "much older than you" guys like the Heritage line for nostalgic reasons. In my case a pair of Heresys were the first really good speakers I ever heard==== Yea, it's amazing how Klipsch was that good, way back then that still hold up today, all those years you guys where enjoying great sound! Wish my Dad would have had Klipsch speakers so I could enjoy that growing up but he had something else that was pretty good but not as good as Klipsch, his speakers big short coming was the HF range that just didn't do what the Klipsch does there.
  2. Would be great if Klipsch came out with a Klipschorn model with false corners built into the design to look as one with the speaker, that would be greats for us who don't have the right corners for them and let us place them in other than corners. That would really be cool. Then when one moves, it can work with any apartment or house!
  3. Thanks jpm! I appreciate your understanding where I come from, even if my opinions are different from the others here. The rest of you, what ever guys, I went from three different Klipsch speakers and only give help from what I like and feel is improvement for me. You don't have to like how I share here, and you don't have to like how I write, that's fine, I'm begining to feel the same about some of you here too, seems to me some of you gets way too sensitive and start to formulate in your heads that I'm out saying something other than what I give my opinions on. I really don't care if you likes me or not, I'm me, and that's who I am, if I'm not helping you, so be it. If I offend for some odd reason for some, don't read what I share here. nicholtl, I'm not your buddy! I have a right to help others here and express how I feel just as you do here. If you don't like it, their is NO NEED for RUDENESS, you are not my father so I don't need you coming down on me for expressing my take on that Carver, and YES - I would want someone to give me their opinions on anything I was thinking to buy, and do! It's most helpful and great to get people's say on what they like and don't like, very helpful for me. colterphoto1, you are trying to make me out to something I am not, the redtop sold his speakers long before I posted that, it was giving my opinion to the other guy who was curios between the two, not to stop a sale cause that thread was an old one and it was sold long before I gave the other guy my opinion. xx olterphoto1 said: If you don't like it, just shut up xx I won't go as low as you to say the same to you if you don't like, so with that I say have a nice life big guy. I haven't once been rude to you like you have been doing to me! That's ok, because I really don't like you at all now with the rudeness you possess within.
  4. Frzninvt, wow! Glad it's working for ya! Calm down. Regardless of what I say, many said the same about Carver over at Audiogon but I think Rotel sounds great on my friends setup! The McIntosh sound great on mine here. You can disagree with that, fine, no problem. I don't like the Carver sound with mine, happy to hear it does work for some! Good to hear. I'm talking SS Carver! If it's the tubes by Carver, my mistake. I have not heard those. I only speak for the SS Carver from my experience from those.
  5. colterphoto1, there you go again! You're begining to be like a tick on a dog on me guy, what is with this? I only mention Rotel because many, many, recommend it all over the net, here, and the Rotel forum for Klipsch, at a great affordable price for hi-end sound. I am not using Rotel and never said that I was. One of my best friend does, and it sounds great with the RB-1090 and his Klipsch speaker, it don't have the problem at lower volume but it's much more $$$ than the RB-1080. I am using McIntosh 500wpc with my Klipsch RF-7. Have a nice day Mr. Michael, sorry you really don't care for any of my input here!
  6. It's a good thing for some to A/B these, it helps in showing die-hard Heritage users that the RF-7's aren't inferior to the Heritage, of what I come across in other forums, and sadly of all places, here in the Klipsch forum too, by other Klipsch family members! Sad, so very sad. Now they get to see just how good RF-7's are too! damonrpayne said: Let's stop this game and admit that Heritage is superior. See what I mean! Both Heritage and Reference are very good, non be's superior than the other, just be's different and you pick what best sounds to yo ears! I pick B, we are different, and louder doesn't mean better. All them Klipsch sound great, just us bone heads think certain one's sound a little better to us, so forgets the superior crap, it's all great, you just pick what you like more to yo liking. Wow's I have to say some of you look very different than I had in my mind what you's looked like in my head online but them pics now gaves me a face to yo names! I's didn't realize most you guys are much older than me, would have been a bit intimidating for me had I's gone and no one my age there!! My hat off to ya long time Klipsch users!!
  7. tkdamerica, sounds like you already got that chance to A/B them.
  8. Wow, I would love to have those, only if I wasn't all the way over here on the West Coast! Shipping those beauties really scare me big time!
  9. nicholtl said: Seriously. The man's trying to sell something, so why are you trying to deter potential buyers? nicholtl, I'm sure he will sell it just fine for something that goes well with it, I don't want to deter a sale for him and he will sell it fine with another make speaker, BUT would you want to team this up with a Klipsch and be really disappointed?? I'm just trying to help guy, if you don't like my help, sorry but it's the truth, and I would only expect someone to help me out the same way, sorry you don't see it the same way but such is life. Look what you get when you try to help another Klipsch family member! If you think it sounds just fine with Klipsch, we only have a difference of opinion but not my intent AT ALL to deter him selling, he will sell it, lots of folks like that amp and it goes well with other speakers, not with Klipsch for me, but you could very well feel differently, that's fair. I almost got the amp after reading all the great things about it, until my friend got it first, and we didn't like how it sounded on his RF-7, again, just our take on it, yours could very well vary. Wow stormin, I don't find it rude, just the truth when teamed up with Klipsch! No every make amp will go with any speaker, you already know this, just trying to help, Wow! I kinda find your's rude when I'm just helping about it not going well with Klipsch speakers. Oh well, good day to ya Dude. As I don't feel the Carver ZR1600 do not sound great with Klipsch, yours opinion may vary but I'm standing by what I say because that is my experience with the Carver ZR1600. My ears hear this, others might just like what I don't, that is very fair to understand, each his own. If my opinion doesn't help than that's fine too. Try it, if you like how it sounds, all that counts, all that counts!!!! Not one to stand in your way. Audio Flynn, in no way is my opinion about the Carver ZR1600 going against Whell as a upstanding persion, that's pretty bad of you to miss understand it as such, I'm sure he is a very respectable person and have no doubts, man o man. colterphoto1, wow - I've just lost repect for you. I don't do this on 4 sale post, yes I really like my RF-7, you like what you like, that's fine but I don't go around doing what you said, and I'm just as welcome in this Klipsh forum as you are and to tell me I will have to go is pretty rude. Have a nice life and thanks for your kindness.
  10. The Hope in my Lope is too far from me. I would be loves to be there, but have to counts me out, just be too far, and no vacation time for me yet either.
  11. That is a BUNCH of speakers, but better him than me's!! I wouldn't want that many, would be's too confusing, and too much take up space here! Maybe a couple of more speaker pair for me but then that's be my limit, or it would's be like a speaker superstore! Not to mention more stereo equip to buy!
  12. I agree, Carver's don't got that well with Klipsch. Get a Rotel setup, that will go really well with Klipsch! The Rotel RB-1080 and RB-1090 are nice and sound great. I would go with separates but I hear the Rotel Recv. go really well to with Klipsch. Good Luck too ya. I have the RF-7, you will really enjoy them if you give them what they deserve! Put something good with it!!!!
  13. I don't like the Carver ZR1600 with Klipsch speakers. Go to Marysville, Washington at Bry's, a Klipsch dealer and he has this same amp on the Klipsch speakers there. It's too harsh sounding. A friend of mine just had to replace his Carver ZR1600 for his RF-7's with a Rotel RB-1090 and it's much, much, much better and smoother, but the Rotel does cost $1000.00 more. I haves not heard a moddy ZR Carver, but maybe that might take care of the harshness?? I almost fell for the hype on those things too until my friend set me wise to it with Klipsch speakers. I really don't think the Carver ZR and Klipsch go well together, best to look for something without that harshness for Klipsch speakers, would be better on a different kind of speaker. In my VERY STRONG opinion!!! A Rotel RB-1080 can be had for the same price for that Carver, I's strongly recommends that path for much greater synergy with Klipsch!
  14. I like the Forte II's! It made my so-so mediyoke system sound great. The Forte II's have a fuller midrange than the KLF-30, but I liked the bass on my KLF-30's. The Forte II have good bass too, just like the KLF-30 bass better. If I had to make a picks between the two, I would pick the Forte II cause I like the fuller midrange it had. I like my RF-7's even more but an RF-7 won't gets by with a so-so mediyoke system, it has to be best quality to be great, so my college days them Forte's gave me much enjoyments on budget equip. and sound great.
  15. You must have gone to Bry's in Marysville. I don't think they have those Klipschorn's setup too well or with right equipment, quites a few folks said the same about that place, saying the LaScala's sounded better. I think it's the room and equip, it could stand bettter setup. Even the RF-7's sound like crap in that place and I knows the RF-7's sound betta than that, cause I have them. Chad's a nice guy there, we didn't like Josh, he was rude and a prick! I won't even deal with Josh. The Klipschorn and LaScala's both sound harsh to me at Bry's cause they have that darn Carver ZR digital on them, they need to gets something better, don't go good with Klips. The Heresy's really miss on the bass but sound great other wise, a sub can fix that. Still, I like my RF-7's most of all, from all of them. I knows, others opins will vary, all that counts is I's very happy with the RF-7. Sounds like Bry's still don't get it to set that stuff up on the right equip, not much they can do about that room thow, only place is in that basement for all the speakers. Equip plays big part on how it all sounds, fair is to have a listen same every thing, different speakers, then you get better idea how it sounds, but you won't at that place, all the wrong equip! They have those Heresy's on a different setup, don't forget about that, not fair compare until you have a listen on the same equip, plus the Heresy's are on a different wall from the Klipschorn and LaScala's there, don't forget that too. They did sound good though on that setup. Bry's is not a good place for evaluation, the two Klipsch models I have that I heard there, didn't even sound the same, too harsh at Bry's, YES....it's the equipment doing it.
  16. True, the KLF's aren't as picky for amp type and wattage, as the RF-7's are. Give these babies a great amp, and look out! Wow! Those Rotel's are great with Klipsch of any Heritage, Legend, or Reference. Be's so many elmo folks saying how great Rotel goes with Klipsch! Gots to love those Rotel's fine pieces of equips. Darn good lookin too. Did I say how awesome these RF-7's sound?? These great speakers really haves me in a spell, the best spell I ever had. The RF-7's really cook out some beautiful music. Man I'm glad I got these RF-7's, who would have known, who would have told me! Try these babies with a expensive Marantz, McIntosh or Rotel, holly COW! Music YUM! Try these babies with a $300 Technics Receiver, holly CRAP! Don't even sound like the same RF-7. Dudes, to have this RF-7, gotta get a great amps.
  17. Joe Shmoe said: prefer my KLF-30's over the RF-7's, the midrange is smoother. I disagree with this, I upgraded from KLF-30s and the RF-7 are definitely smoother, even the rest of the family said they noticed the same thing without me asking them. Mine was a good upgrade to the RF-7s and Im happy. If the dealer doesnt work out a good trade up deal, then stick to your KLF-30s.
  18. Yep, they are a great set of speakers! Well, I should say for me, were a great set of speakers cause I sold my KLF-30's after I upgraded to the RF-7's. I kept my RF-7's cause I like the sound better, big surprise is the smoother sound and fullness, makes the KLF-30's sound like something missing, mid-bass to mid-range maybe??? Is this the hollow sound some folks talk about over on the home theater forum?? The RF-7's have a fuller sound that I can'ts figure out why it ain't in the KLF's? Can some one asnwer this for me?
  19. Boom Tang, BOOM TANG! Now that should fix every thing, now you are getting along again and loving it. BOOM TANG!
  20. Yep, Rotel always gets great ratings from the Audio Mags with user reports with top notch service from Rotel, if any thing should be go wrong. They be have great rep-o-tation for thats! Good to be hearin that Rotel is still a great company for them customers. Now that deserves another BOOM TANG! Klipsch be's another GREAT Customer Service too, they be's very helpful and nice any time I talk to them and people report they take care of customers too if somethin should go wrong, another BOOM TANG!!!
  21. The RF-7's are set up and crankin' at my pad. Rock on! Best in horns and cones! BoomTang!
  22. BoomTang! These RF-7's are great! I'm a lovin mine every sec i have a listen. Dude, it's very detailed, listen to more expensive speaks and you will be back to RF-7. If you no want them, let us take a collection up here and buy them from you and send them to DeanG for reunite back for his favorite speaker! BoomTang!
  23. Congrats on your upcoming RF-7's. Your gonna LOVE THEM! You will notice right away that the RF-7's are more full body sound, great resolution in bass and midrange, great detail in lows, highs, and midrange, doing all this with a smoother midrange like a fine wine! Every thing just sounds great on a pair of RF-7's, it's awesome. It's not as in your eyes as the Chorus II which was a plus for me because I didn't realize it until I got the RF-7's that I can listen to music for hours and not feel i need to take a break. The Chorus II's can play on the ears after a couple of hours and need to take a break. No, not harsh or anything bad like that.
