  1. I'd think I'd like to have a 3-way center that will match my Legends. I feel I could be happier with that ilo the C7. I get the feeling that finding a single KLF 30 or 20 is a pipe dream. What's the chances of finding raw drivers and crossover? Is there a source for new parts? I could then build an enclosure. Where can the necessary parts be found?
  2. Help me out, I'm interested and local(sort of)
  3. I bought them from Miller in Statesboro several months ago. I do alot of work in Savannah, Ft Stewart and Bluffton/Hilton Head so I get down there alot. Ask the guys at Audio Warehouse on Abercorn near Oglethorpe Mall, they are an authorized dealer and may have by some slim chance know someone who has some legends. I do know they have a couple of pair of RS-7s open box they want to unload.
  4. she looks like she's 14 years old!!!!!!!! Like one of our old mechanics used to say, "if she's old enough to pee, she's old enough for me"

  6. lol, I am listining to mine RIGHT NOW as I type and it won't play in 2 channel, and I PROMISE I have everything wired correctly. I'm running a Denon DVD 2900 and it plays everything. I don't know whats up but I sure wish the 2 channel would play
  7. I have a very nice Carver AV 806x 6 channel amp in excellent condition. 133 watts/channel x 6 or you can bridge any 2 channels and the output is 360 watts x 3, or you can bridge the center only and have 133 x 4 and 360 x 1 for the center, which is the way I had it set up for a long time. It is a very warm sounding amp, IMO. You can Google Carver AV 806x and get a good bit of reviews and info. I would be willing to sell it for $750 plus shipping. It is a very solid, heavy and well built amp and is truly in pristine condition. I ran KLF 30s/20s/C7 with it for a while until I got a B & K Reference 200.7 earlier this year. The only reason I got the B & K is for the 7 channels. Honestly, I cannot hardly tell the difference between the sound of the 2 amps. I'm sure if you did an a/b comparison you might be able to, and I'm sure there are ears out there that could tell without an a/b but it is a very powerful amp and has great sound. It's very quiet also.

  9. it's almost scary to read through a thread like this. I mean, who freakin cares?
  10. All are either DVD-A or SACD: Norah Jones.....excellent Eagles HFO......excellent as well (7 Bridges Road) and off Hotel Cali, New Kid In Town(i used to think this song sucked, but when listened to on DVD-A @ 110 db it is outstanding) Queen....Another One Bites the Dust is OUTSTANDING, so is Bohemian Rhapsody Steely Dan......Gaucho, all songs are good Missy Elliott.......very good (watch out woofers) David Sanborn........excellent and lets not leave out Chesky's insane, absurd, amazing, whatever whatever 5.1 surround show. Silly stuff but excellent show-off material.
  11. Wheres the kaboom? Where's the earth-shattering kaboom?
  12. I had 7s on the side until I found a pair of 20s. The 20s are much better with music, however I did like the 7s for movies, and they were pretty good for some music but not as good. Get some 20s or 30s and you'll be very happy

  14. Michael.....think about this. Now give it some thought because I've thrown it out there and no real opinions yet. My situation is similar. I am running the system as shown in my sig. I have a pair of RS 7s doing nothing. My room is 16 x 27. the 30s and C7 are across the short dimension all the way to the wall. My 20s are right to my side about 13 feet from the mains/center(ans 8' from each ear). My backs are all the way to the back wall. I was thinking about Y'ing my side surround output from the preamp into a 2-channel amp of similar quality and power and running the 7s halfway between my sides and back. This may not be ideal for multi channel music but when I listen to that i can simply turn off the 2 channel amp. There is some work involved doing it and I am basically lazy, so I haven't tried it yet, but what do you think? Do you see any pitfalls here that may damage something? Or, do you think it'll sound like crap. I want to try it only for movies.

Sooner or later something or someone's gonna give. ---------------- so what's your opinion of an additional amp for those extra speaks?
  19. I have been thinking about doing what you say, with the exception of adding an amplifier to the additional speakers by Y'ing the surround signal from my pre-amp. I have been meaning to get an opinion from the forum and to see if anyone has done that but haven't gotten around to it until now. I think that would be better than screwing around with parallel speaks.
  20. Oh, dude, you don't want those "obnoxious beasts" So, where are they?
