    Hi All,

I've researched in the forum but it's been a several years since people have last talked about replacing the K61-K Diaphragm in the squawker of the Chorus/Forte 2s, etc.   I've read that using the Klipsch Factory Speaker Diaphragm, K-52, K-53-Ti, Titanium, 16 ohms, 127122 is a great upgrade, however it requires a passive pad to reduce the peaks.

    https://www.simplyspeakers.com/klipsch-replacement-speaker-diaphragm-127122.html

1 - who's done this and did you use or not use a passive pad?

2 - where can one get this passive pad?

3 - did you hear the difference between the stock diaphragm and the titanium one? what was the difference? better to your liking or just different?

    Thank you!

  2. Man it’s been a rough year.  My dog died in March.  My Dad died Wednesday while my brother and I were out of state on a fishing trip.  My Uncle is dying of prostate cancer.

Dad was 91 and had been in hospice at the VA since March so we knew something was going to happen sooner than later.  Air Force veteran, served in Korea.  He’ll have a headstone at Fort Snelling cemetery.

    Prosequor Alis Dad.

Day 1 of the good ole brat fest is in the books.  Brats are 7 a pop on the main drag along w/a 12oz cup of slimy fries for 10.  Naturally it poured rain about parade time and the temp started dropping.  "They're" calling for a low of 42 tonight, which is totally insane for this time of the year.  Then up into the 90's the first of the week.  Blah.  think I'll stay home and maybe slip down and grab something then run for the border.  Some of the local places are tons cheaper.  Brat and fries for10 bucks works for me.  :)

@wuzzzer you're such a tease w/that lefty.  It's coolness factor is off the charts.  I'd hurt myself!  😂

I absolutely love it.  I’ve only ridden it on the streets since I picked it up last fall.  There’s some new bike trails in a park just outside of town where I live that I’ll be bringing it to soon.

    Consider the following situations:

    1. all three fronts are playing the same material

    2. only the center channel is playing

    3. only the mains are playing

    4. the center is playing one thing but the mains are playing something else

All of these will sound exactly the same with a phantom center, plus if you're sitting off-axis, nothing is anchored to the screen at all, voices will always come out of whatever speaker is closest to you.  It's not a good thing.  Center channels are important.

So you’d be a proponent of a setup with Khorn mains and a KV-2 center as someone on here had?

Hey guys I seem to have an issue with my audio. I recently purchased Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers. After installing them and testing the sound, I noticed anything over half volume (On the volume knob of the speaker, I had it set to 100 in windows) would cause the satellites to become extremely loud (much louder than they should be) and overpower the mid and lows. This happened on my old pair of speakers, Logitech X-230. I tried plugging the 3.5MM jack into my MacBook and test the audio, and it sounded perfect. I could put the volume knob at max and mac volume at max and no distortion but pure clean audio. Why is this happening? I tried plugging into a different headphone port on my motherboard but it isnt doing anything. I reset any equalizer I have and it still is having issues. Can anyone please help me? Would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you.

They’re probably getting too hot of a signal from the computer.  Turn the output level down in the computer.

Hey everyone, I’ve got a chance to pick up a set of these for $250 and, based on the above, it seems like that’s a good deal. I have a pair of Boston A40s that are in my jazz setup and RB-75 set would replace them.  My concern is placement. They will be in a cabinet with no door that is about 36” off the floor. With only 6” of space on each side, will it make sense to use the RB-75s in this spot?

They’ll work perfect.  They’re easily worth three times that price.

Plugged both the rca cable from the back of subwoofer into my 300 watt Pyle receiver.  Why am I getting a loud thump sound when I turn on or off my receiver? Will that sound damage my subwoofer.  Jose from ur customer service said that's normal, but I'm not feeling that's accurate. Can a tech help me correct this issue as I'm not savvy to this connection.  Thanks

There aren’t really any techs who are on the forum.

Also, there’s a separate forum section farther down the page for subwoofer questions.  If you read the sticky at the top of this section you’ll see it’s for people who are having technical issues with the Klipsch forum or website.
