  1. Wade......you might want to move over to the 2 channel forum. Mallette hangs out there and might be able to help. You could also try a pm but if he is like me he does'nt check them often. Good luck. Chuck
  2. Deliverance.....one of my favorites. Thought about it while hiking the Appalachian Trail couple of years ago. Lucky....the only thing I got was poison ivy. "this river don't go to Aintry"[:^)]
  3. OB....blame it on me. Tell her Tarheel dropped by and finished all your beer[:^)]
  4. billybob, Bill, and Buckster......I'll have one with you. Bucky let me guess.....youre listening to the Stones?

  8. Welcome to the forum Aaron! Keep an eye on the Garage Sale Forum for vintage amps. You may also want to look at audiogon.com for modern or vintage equipment. I have vintage and newer gear and enjoy both for different reasons. With children the age of yours a tube cage or cover would be a good idea. As for fires.....I never leave my tube gear on while I am away from home.....but thats just me. You seem to be on the right track and Bob Crites should be able to help you or point you in the right direction with your speaker parts needs. I can't help you with HT.....I am a 2 channel dinosaur. Chuck
  9. Thanks for the good suggestions guys. Very nice place Steve. Good Friday is usually planting time here in the southeast so I guess there is time for some tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, okra, and onions and then in the fall maybe brocoli and cauliflower. Michael....yes about 6 hours of sun...tall pines filter out direct sun after that. Brac.....whats the planting/growing season like in your neck of the woods? Now....where can I buy those bib overalls? Buck....you and bluesboy are two peas in a pod. Blues came over to record a tape and brought over The Who...Live at Leeds Marshall.....interesting [] Any of those pamphlets left? I will save a similar story for another day[] Chuck
  10. Hmm.......only if I can call you Mary Jane[] But thanks for the offer. Thinking more in the line of squash, tomatoes, cucumbers. How about it dtel...too late?
  11. I have a problem area in the back yard next to the patio that will not grow St. Augustine for some reason. I thought about shrubs rather than grass and went as far as calling a landscape person who is coming Wednesday but then with all the talk about going "green" I thought about a vegtable garden I tilled up the area down about 12" and amended the soil with shredded pine bark and fertilizer. I told the wife my idea and said I wish I had some farmer type friends for advice. She responded by asking who it was that grew those beautiful tomatoes that were on the forum. I told her that was dtel and dtels wife. So in coastal NC with at least 6 hours of sun, decent soil, and high humidity what can I plant this late in the season? Talking about an area 30'x25'.
  12. [Y] A very handsome baby. Congratulations!
  13. Two Absolut martinis, dry, straight up with olives. Friend suggested a Bombay martini with pickled okra[]
  14. You had to bring up bb Arky.....just when I was starting to sleep again. Just having fun......the snakes are still in their cage and we think Kev is really swell[]
  15. Road trip[] I can put the boa and the anaconda in burlap bags.
  16. Anyone notice that bluesboy started this thread and ran on out to happy hour? Biodegradeable beer bugs hopefully[] And yes Kev.....bluesboy is very much insane....right this minute he is looking up Chicago in his road atlas.
  17. Bigstewman.....the Dogfish Head Chicory Stout was good. A full bodied beer that is best sipped rather than chugged or gulped. It sells for $8.99 a six pack making it about a dollar more than Guiness Stout. Groomlake kept coming up with all these beers I have never tried so I started buying singles just to try them out. Of the first two Dogfish was the keeper. Hey billybob....throw one of those back for me. You did send her back to the store.....right? Cheers
  18. Right you are Daddy Dee. Kansas is kicking our butt big time and Billy Packer has already declared the winner.....before half time. Carolina is out.......a dreadful first half......came back to within 4 and then let it slip away. Go Memphis.
  19. Who are those players wearing Carolina uniforms? No on I have seen..... Congrats to Memphis!
  20. Dogfish Head Chicory Stout brewed in Milton Delaware at the Dogfish Head Craft Brewery.
  21. Arky......just put a six pack of Dogfish Head Chicory Stout in the fridge.....hope its better than the name would suggest[+o(]
  22. This video game is not going to make it far without more help guys. I am thinking about trading out Spike Lee for Bobby Flay from the food channel......any thoughts?
