  1. We have been using Dish Network for over a year now, with the HD package. We love it. We had cable prior to getting Dish Network and there is no comparison even without the HD package. Also, prior to Hurricane Katrina we had DishNetwork installed in two rooms, even though you could get four rooms with free installation. After Katrina, I called DishNetwork because I needed to more rooms equipped with satellite. Because we were in the "devastated area" they installed the other two rooms at no additional charge. (Saved us about $150.00) They also waived two months of our charges at the same time and we didn't even request a waiver. I think the decision to go with Dish Network is the best thing you could do. The HD package is unbeatable.
  2. We are going through a very similiar situation right now. The matter has been turned over to the authorities and the criminals are being prosecuted. Basically, $105,000.00 went missing and they won't admit to it. What else can you do?
  3. You may want to be a little nicer this time around. I just read your other post (the one where you wanted to sell your speakers) and you got a little nasty when someone pointed out the warranty issue. We are all like family here. We watch each other's backs, just like we will for you. And yes, a lot of us on this forum can be sarcastic, but there are limits, especially if you are a "newbie". So, best of luck and I do hope you get the advice you are looking for.
  4. That's what we are talking about. Klipsch does care!!! You have purchased speakers from one of the finest companies around!!!
  5. Coytee please spare us. You better stick to your day job for now.[] At least until you get a little better comic material. BTW, don't feel so bad. Dtel, dtel's niece, dtel's future son-in-law, dtel's daughter and dtel's baby girl all got the newsletter.[] I didn't get the newsletter.[*-)] BTW, dtel's future-son-in-law will have to change his screen name after December 9, 2006. That's the day of the big triple wedding!!![8][^][<)] I will be posting a thread under General Questions shortly so as not to hijack this thread. Talk about favorites. Maybe it's a "conspiracy" or a secret newsletter. Hey, maybe the newsletter is actually "a secret forum" and we aren't invited.[:$] Coytee, are the Bengals and Saints playing today. I know the Saints are playing but I wasn't sure what team they were playing. Geaux Saints......I have been a die hard fan since the team was first formed. Even through the "bag head" days!!!
  6. We are so glad to see one of our favorite companies made your day. Hey Steve, you have a response to your complaint on the "Best Buy" thread you started. Welcome to the forum, we hope you visit here often.
  7. Coytee, I thought you were a nice guy?[] If you don't stop being ugly I'm going to tell Amy, then you can have your own forum and I guarantee you will be lonely![] Just kidding, congrats dhtman and welcome.
  8. Phil, we do hope you are not dissuaded from "chatting" here. I for one really enjoy your posts. That being said, I didn't like flying before this thread started.[] Now I am really scared to fly.[]
  9. I'm still waiting patiently for the answer....[]
  10. I really needed some comic relief this morning. You guys are too funny. Thanks.[]
  11. OB's right about not shipping; While the owner of the UPS store here is a long time personal friend, has always done an outstanding job for me to this point (and we insure everything), once something leaves his store, he has no control.... If you are interested, I will be leaving here (south Florida) for LR Arkansas on 27 December and can always take the I-10 route... Otherwise it's about a 16-18 hour trip from NOLA. MD, it's about 8 1/2 hours to Little Rock from Picayune, MS. We made the trip twice this year. Once to Hope, AR for the Pilgramage and to Hope again to pick up the Cornwall III's we won at the Pilgramage. We went onto to Little Rock for one night from Hope, so 8 1/2 hours is about right. It is a nice trip and can be easily made in two days. The factory is in Hope, AR which right off I-30 on the way to Little Rock. The Crater of Diamonds State Park is on the way. Who knows maybe you would get lucky and find a big diamond on your trip. Crystal Springs is really beautiful also, maybe you can spend the night there. Or check with some other forum members, maybe someone from AR will be heading this way around the same time. BTW, I have heard the Grooms Lake Area is unbelievable. We can always take I-10 and detour through MS, and if MD is interested, leave them with Dtel? 26/27th is for family reasons, carved in stone, and 18 hours from NOLA to Okeechobee is not worth it; fuel alone would cost MD almost what it would cost for the speakers. It'd be about 1800-1900 mile round trip. Dtel's wife: I hope the "unbelieveable" part of what you've heard about Lake Okeechobee is good! Great bass fishing and only 30 miles from the beaches off Fort Pierce! I guess this post really shows how stressed I am about our triple wedding plans for December 9. Okay, I was thinking Greer's Ferry Lake in Arkansas. Sorry about that one. However, I have head a lot of good things about Lake Okeechobee. Mainly about the fishing. A good friend of ours from N. Louisiana used to go fishing there a couple of times a year and he loved it. As far as the Heresys go, we will be happy to hold them or meet MD somewhere to drop them off. If he wants them all he has to do is let us know.

  13. Come on I have been very patiently waiting for the answer[] WHAT is the problem?[*-)] Dtel posted on the first page of this thread that the people on this forum were smarter than the people on the other forum?[*-)]
  14. That would have been a good deal. I wonder what the center channel was?
  15. Bob, did your comparisons include Forte or Forte II's. I find the Forte II's a little more clear sounding than the Fortes. We have listened to both, the Fortes and Forte II's with and without a sub woofer. Since the Forte II's are currently dedicated to 6.0 home theatre (primarily dvd concert videos) we have chosen to incorporate the sub woofer. I was impressed with the Heresy III's especially because of the sound quality. IMO, the Heresys would be best suited for smaller listening/watching rooms, unless of course you have several pairs to incorporate.
  16. I could not believe what I just read. Not from a "REAL CW MAN." Now you know what dtel and I have been trying to explain, but couldn't find the right words...I am so glad you like them...
  17. I've heard........now don't quote me on this......that there some people that do probing with snakes. And many of these people are FEMALES! Seriously. I'm not joking. I really did hear this. Tom I know you said "don't quote me on this"...however, I have never heard of that. I could interpret the "probing" several different ways, but...none of the interpretations seem appealing to me.[*-)] We did on at least two occasions see an unexplained "ball of light" outside our home. One of these times at least four people witnessed this "light". The "ball of light" was about 12" across, moved fairly quickly and at the lowest point was about 4-6 feet off the ground. And no, before any of you imply or ask, we weren't in an "intoxicated" state of being. In our previous home, there were numerous encounters with "spirit(s)". The home was approximately 100 years old and was solely owned by a family from "Uptown New Orleans". We leased the house for almost five years before purchasing the six acres and building our home here. Prior to our living in that home dtel and his father did not believe in "ghosts or spirits". Maybe dtel will share his personal "encounter" with you. Very often, visitors to our home would have "experiences" with these "spirit(s). The experiences with the spirit(s) began before we even moved into that old house....Previous tenants believed there were also "poltergeists" present when they inhabited the house...they even had the house "exorcised". But this maybe for another thread...I don't think these were alien "spirit(s)....
  18. Unfortunately, yes. Even one is too many for me.[] The other day I sat on a bench in the garden at my customer's house to take a short break. I looked over to my right and there was a baby water moccasin (sp) curled up in a plant. The d_mn thing was about 12 inches from my leg.[]
  19. I would say that is an "elite" group.[]
  20. Come on Paul, everyone knows the "doctor" walks in to the labor room at the last minute, catches the baby, congratulates the parent's and leaves.[] But...I met you and somehow I just don't think you are "that kind of doctor".[H]
  21. If I remember correctly, Michael is supposed to start with Klipsch around the 11th of December.
