  1. I have 77 khorns and for a short while had cornwall II's, my room is small but has good corners. It wasn't even close the khorns were heads and shoulders better!!!
  2. It will not start to reduce until you light up the red LED's, then it will start the reduction of whatever your settings are.
  3. Joe, The advice above is correct I have a Korneff 45 amp, and I use the stand by just to let the tubes warm up a minute before applying full B+ voltage. I have also tried alot of different 45 tube brands NOS and new production, nothing is even close to the EML Solid Plate 45's!!!
  4. In my opinion this is the one you want for sure!!!
  5. Measure the room using REW and a cal. mic, then you have usefull info.
  6. Ok what I have is a AT 155LC cartridge with a AT160ML stylus... I also have an Acutex LPM315...
  7. Signal strength is everything in FM reception, without a good strong signal you will not have clear and solid sound from your tuner. I use 6 cable and an outdoor FM antenna with a rotor, small investment for great results...
  8. Update for my friends: It turns out that it is the belt leaving this residue, I never had this problem in the past using the same belt material. The only thing I can think of is that I am at the very end of the roll of Mylar and that may have something to do with it???
  9. Well I tried polishing the two pulley's today with my dremel tool, the brass pulley still has the residue; but the ss pulley show improvement... So maybe more polishing will do it...
  10. Ok I agree that's what I thought also but, how long before it stops? Any idea? Seems like after a few hours of play it would have been done...
  11. As I said in the update, I am now using a SS pulley and I am still getting this residue. Which seems to indicate it's the belt but, with my old SS pulley there was never any residue. Which makes me think maybe it was something the shop used in the process?
  12. Update: So I had the machine shop make another pulley from SS and wouldn't ya know it , it is also leaving a residue. So now it is either the belt itself or something the shop used on the material I guess???
  13. I have no idea I will have to ask the shop to find out...
  14. Like I said before it's not the tt that has an issue, it's the new brass pulley I had made for the new motor.. BTW the original pulley was also brass with a mylar belt....
  15. Well it's not about the TT it's about the pulley and the material used, so feel free to say something.
  16. Larry I read your post above and was gonna suggest you have a look at the Redpoint but, I see you already have. LOl!!! It's all good brother besides the problem is not with the TT it is just the residue from the new pulley. I can always go back to the old motor or have a new pulley made.
  17. Thanks for the links I have tried them already no response.
  18. Well the shop said they would make me another from SS if I wanted it, I am gonna see how this brass one works for a while first..
  19. My other one is made from SS but it is for the smaller shaft motor, this new motor has a larger shaft.
  20. Yes the original one was a press fit but, they wear out and then you need to have a set screw added. So I just had the shop make it with the set screw, as I said before it is working great I was just not expecting the residue I am seeing...
  21. Well almost the size is 157mm the pulley fits perfectly it is the brass residue that has me concerned...
  22. Larry, Actually it's not that bad the pulley is a very simple almost flat 1/2" tall held on by a set screw against the shaft. This is an external motor and pod with a belt so you move the motor pod to adjust belt tension.
  23. My TT is a Redpoint Model D, very few of them made I think no two are the same color so I guess that and the price make the numbers small.
