  1. djwarila, nice looking stand and it can fit the RC-64, another plus. I know what you mean, when I was looking for a new TV stand for the RC-64 I found it at Circuit City, this was a few years ago, but none of the ones around me had it. I had to drive 2.5 hrs. away just to pick one up but the matching equipment rack I did find local. This is the one I have and the matching audio rack. Goes very nice with my RF-83's and RC-64 in cherry... [H] James
  2. Yes, that's what I was thinking. It would be there just in case since you want to push the RC-64 as close to the front edge as possible, better safe then sorry. Then it also depends on what you were going to use for the shelf, but I figured it was going to be some sort of wood product. James
  3. Beta, Good luck on your journey and post some pictures of those new speakers. We always like seeing new speakers. James
  4. Congrats on the speaker pickup, killer deal indeed.... James
  5. Congrats and welcome to the club.... [Y] If my gf had her way and if I had the room I would have K-Horns in every corner, we still love our Cornwalls. James
  6. Great to hear, those RF-3 for $300 is really good and if they are local even a sweeter deal. Plus as stated you can adjust the rears with your receiver and they should sound great. Maybe take a peek in the "Subwoofer" section for ideals. Must there would say a different brand then Klipsch for the amount of money. Look at brands such as Elemental Designs, Epik Subwoofer and AV123. Now I know that Epik is changing up their design and all of the subs are out of stock and don't know when they will be back in. AV123 has some good sub for the price as does Elemental Designs. Search the forum for ED subs and you will see that the people that do have them really like them and for the price they can't be beat. Also, Welcome to the forum....... [Y] James
  7. Wheels1, Welcome to the forum. What kind of budget are you looking to spend? James
  8. Hey Win, that didn't work to good for you last year did it? Just saying that every time I looked around you were looking for a new piece of equipment. James
  9. Lylefan, Great setup and very clean, down to the equipment rack. Over all I really like that setup. [H] [Y] James
  10. Where are you ordering them from that YOU need to find out the shipping information on them? Is it from a private seller or an authorized dealer? From the RF-5 spec sheet it said the speakers are 9" wide and 41.5" tall, so figure a few inches around that and under 5 pounds. From the RB-3 spec sheet it said the speakers are 7.68" wide and 15" tall, so figure a few inches around that and under 3 pounds. Both of these are just guesses on my part from looking at the picture and seeing the grills take up the entire front of the speakers and can't weigh too much, being cloth and plastic with also some cardboard for stability during shipping. James
  11. Yea that RC-64 is a monster for sure. The look on my buddies face was priceless when we unpacked it and I told him it was a center channel speaker. You shouldn't get any vibration out of your center channel so you don't have to worry about that. You might want to put some kind of rounded nose piece on the front, to stop the speaker from falling onto the TV. You never know when a bump might push that speaker off the front of the shelf. Post some pictures when everything is setup and running how you like it. James
  12. WOW.... That would have only working for me if I was taking 2 of the 3 Belles... [] That sounds like it will work just fine... I am running my RF-83 off a Outlaw 750, 165 wpc, which is just fine for mine and even the neighbors listening pleasure. You might have to go back and order 2 more RF-83's to complete the setup... [] Would like to hear your review on the setup Russ after you listen for a while. James
  13. Russ, I can always come out again and you can help me move those into the car also.... I also want to hear what you think about the RF-83 setup, considering you are a heritage guy. James Forgot to add, what are you going to run them with?
  14. And do you know Cat Stevens personally to know what he did or didn't do or are YOU getting your information about him and the things that people have said that HE said from that same media? James
  15. Very good choice of speaker.... [Y] When I picked my up I also had them horizontal, tall side up, and they were fine for an hour and half drive. Post some pictures when you have everything setup. James
  16. Hey Dennie pass some of that popcorn, this is getting good..... James
  17. Now that's some funny stuff....... James
  18. Thanks for the info on these 2 dvd's, I will have to pick them up. I have heard his music before, growing up on the radio, and I do like it as a matter of fact I have 2 albums that I just listen to last week. James
  19. Here is a thread already started talking about the UMC-1. http://community.klipsch.com/forums/t/129404.aspx James
  20. Dan, This question would be better off in the 2-channel section. There was a similar questioned asked but for a limit of $1000. The funny thing is that must of the answers were under $500 or so, here is the link to that thread. As I posed in that thread, I got a Thorens 160 and a few items for it like a new cart and belt and still came in under $250. One of the things about the different models is the ability to play 78's, are you just looking to play 45 and 33? I'm sure others will chime in to help you out more. James
  21. I don't know how much you want to spend but Outlaw Audio has their RR2150 receiver that is 2x100 with a sub out connection. James
  22. I just pick up some 12ga from Mono Price. Plus they are a great place for other wire connections and anything else you might need. James
