  1. Pearl Jam's "Daughter" Let's try "I can't seem to face up to the facts I'm tense and nervous and I can't relax" "I can't sleep cuz my bed's on fire, don't touch me I'm a real live wire"
  2. I too have heard them on XRT. Great station, been listening since the days when they only broadcast rock at night.
  3. Another Zevon tune, covered by Linda Rondstadt Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me Here's another oldy, but goody "I pulled into Nazareth, I was feeling bout half past dead I just need some place, where I can lay my head."
  4. The Eagles, "In the City" Try this easy one: "I went home with a waitress The way I always do How was I to know She was with the Russians too."
  5. I spoke to Klipsch Tech Support last week, and was told that the floorstanders are two way, and that only the RC64 is a tapered array or 2.5 way. The drivers are the same, being fed the same bandwidth signal. The specs listed here in the website show that the RC-52 and the RC-62 are also tapered array.
  6. You may have some luck posting your question in the Sansui section of Audiokarma.
  7. F-3's are 97db, 1 meter at 1 watt. 85 watts would give you the potential of 116db! To me that seems adequate for most home theatres. I'm currently driving RF-52's with a Yamaha RXV 1600, the equivalent on a HTR 5990. Yes, it can sound a bit "harsh" at insane volume levels, (ie when the lights flicker) but overall I am happy with the Yamaha. IMHO most receivers at this price point will sound similar and it becomes a question of the features you want. Remember, the difference between 85 watts and 170 watts is 3db.
  8. I had the same dilemma about 4 months ago. Not being able to demo the speakers side by side didn't help. I ended up going with the Rf-52's, because to my ear, the highs sounded better. This may have been because I was able to listen to the RF-52's with music I knew, rather than the "canned" demo BB has. At any rate, I have no regrets choosing them.
  9. Springsteen's "Rosalita" Now let's try: "She tortures taxi drivers just for fun she likes to read their lips" "Says, toro toro taxi, see ya tomorrow my son"
  10. Jimmy Buffet. "A Pirate Looks at 40" Let's try; She's got everything delightful. She's got everything I need. Takes the wheel when I'm seeing double. Pays my ticket when I speed.
  11. Texas Radio and the Big Beat ( I think that's the official title) by the How about; But then one night at the lobby of the Commodore Hotel I chanced to meet a bartender who said he knew her well.
  12. I seem to recall it was with James Taylor. Besides it wasn't much worse than "Vanishing Point"!
  13. Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker) The Rolling Stones, Goats Head Soup. A unique album cover! Try this one; The rusted chains of prison moons are shattered by the sun. I walk a road, horizons change, the tournament's begun
  14. Take a look at the B-Tech BT 77's. They support about 50lbs and clamp from the sides. I'm using them to hold a pair of RB 61's. Crutchfield has them.
  15. 40 MPH couch potato?
  16. Sounds like "Illegal Smile" by John Prine. How about; "I thought I had your number, There must be some mistake. I dialed six, three, seven, eleven, eighty-eight. I got some geezer, said his girlfriends on the town. I said "I got the wrong number" and slammed the phone down."
  17. How about; " Now it's time for a good clean kill. Blast, missed him. Over to you, Red Leader 1"

  19. I recently joined the Klipsch family. My HT setup is RF-52's for the fronts, RC-52 for the center and RB-61's for the rear. I'm using a "POS" sub with this set up. I'm still amazed at how great it sounds.
