  1. I have a Sony 7100ES with all new Klipsch reference line, exect for the back speakers are Infinity. I think it sounds good. just my 2cents worth.
  2. If ist's 3 prong plug on the sub try andaptor that bypass the grounding pin on the outlit. Hope this helps.
  3. I have a sony sxrd60 with the sony tv stand. Cut out the brace for the top shelf slid the RC-64 speaker under the shelf. Shelf is still there and usable. I paid 500.00 for the stand cuting it at first botherd me a little, but it works fine. It just fit. But you cann't tilt the speaker do to the size. But the 64 is such a great speaker it didn't seem to matter.
  4. I have the RF-83 with RC-64 center in a room close to yours. Very nice sounding speaker. I heard both I like the 83 better. I listen to both movies and rock mostly. Very happy with the set up. I also have the RF-82 for rears. The system does need a good sub to go with it.
  5. I realy like my RF-83, I never hear the RF-7 so I can not compair. As far as the RC-64 it has to be one of the best centers out there. I have mine near the floor point straight forward and it's still the best I ever heard. No space to angle the speaker up. I have it on the botom shelf of Sony tv stand. Had to cut the cross frame to slide it in. I also have the RF-82 for surrounds speakers. Works realy nice to geather.
  6. I realy like mine RF-83 a very refined sounding speaker.
  7. The RF-82 would work fine for your room size. They are good speaker for the money. I have the RF-83,RF-82,RC-64. My room is about same size as yours with a lower celling.
  8. Sony SXRD rules. I have the 60" real happy with it.
  9. The RF-83 and RF-82 do look like they are cast. Looked inside from the back port.

    RF-82

I realy like my RF-82 but, I am using them as rear speakers. I did compairson when I got them before moving them to the rear. The RF-83 were a more of refined sound to them. Little better all around as far as the sound goes. There was more bass and the mid and highs were less bright. Being such a large price differance there should be big difference in sound quality. The RF-82 is a good buy at the price. As far as center goes the RC-64 is kick but speaker. Very clean and loud dialogue. My center is low and pointing sraight forward do to the space in the tv stand. But it doesn't mater that the speaker doesn't point toward the seating. I turn it up 2-3 db over the mains and it sound perfect. My inlaws came over the house and they like the RC-64 so much that they had me pick up a new RC-62 for them.
  11. I am kind of new here to, purchesed almost the same set up as you. I went with the RF-83,RC-64 and FR-82 for the rear. As for the receiver I had a older top of the line Yamaha model that worked very well. I did up grade because it just didn't have enough digital inputs. But the sound was excellent with the Klipsch. I now have a Sony 7100ES that I am very happey with also. Let us no what you end up with. []
  12. I have the Sony 60"SXRD with the Sony stand. Between the top shelf and the bottom is 8". I cut the braket that surports the top glass shelf, slid the RC-64 right in on the bottom shelf. Then surport the bottom shelf with wood. It works. The only down side is that you can not tip the speaker up because there is no room. But that speaker is so strong it doesn't matter.
  13. I am using a sony STR-DA7100ES for the receiver. It's unbelievable how loud this system is. Very happy with the sound quality of the whole system. Largest problem was getting the subs right. I now have Velodyne on top of the older Klipsch sub. Seems to work best that way. Did a comparison between the RF-83 and RF-82. Had to see if they 83 were worth the money over the 82. They are.
  14. I also have the Sony and very happy with it. I think overall it has the best picture out of any of micro displays.
  15. New to this site, went with Klipsch for home HT setup. Purchesed RF-83s and RC-64 center about a month ago. Purchesed RF-82 for rear speakers on Saturday. So far seem to blend quite well. Have a pair of Infinty SM-152 for back speakers. The Infinty used to be my main speakers. Have a Klipsch KSW200 and a Velodyne DLS-5000 for subs. Had to add the Velodyne, the KSW200 didn't cut the mustard. Like to hear from other owners of the new reference series?
