  2. So awesome to see stuff nearby! Just not something I need at the moment unfortunately. If you check his other listings he has some parts like K-22 woofers and K-55V driver, as well as a KG2.2V Center Chan. Did you see the Forte II also in Lexington Woofers & Tweeters?   3. That van looks great inside; cool story behind it also. My lights still dimmed even with the caps, alternator, and dual batteries. The Dakota Digital gauges that I had in the dash displayed current draw and the voltage sensed at the amplifier terminals so as the amp current neared 100A the voltage still dipped significantly, this was at idle of course, that amp I ran @ 1ohm rated at 1400w RMS: This was the vehicle's exterior: Not sure how I got so off topic, apologies to the OP as I strolled down memory lane. lol.
  4. I believe the marketing at the time was that it would help with instant reserve energy for peaky bass hits during normal use. I received them as part of a package deal where the seller threw them in the deal for no additional cost since he didn't need them anymore so I went ahead and used them, but didn't notice any difference with them.
  5. Sounds like we had similar setups, my front-stage amp was the only other amp I used also. I averaged 148.8 dB at the front window dB Drag with that modest system and with disconnecting and removing the front-stage amp for competitions I was in lower power classes running only the sub-amp. Later they changed to a woofer count based classification system so the one amplifier didn't help me as much then, but that is when I stopped competing anyhow. I did have two capacitors also, forgot about those, but not much help really, here was a better view through the plexi at the amps with blue neon on at night:
  6. Awesome, congrats on the win. It was always extra satisfying when those wins were against super high-end systems. For the subwoofers I only ran one amp (white in that photo behind the plexi window), replaced OEM alternator with 240amp alternator, and added one additional battery.

  9. I am the original owner of this JTR Speakers Captivator 118HT 18” powered home subwoofer which I purchased brand new, directly from JTR Speakers. The subwoofer has less than 20-hours of gentle use on my vinyl, 2-channel setup. It is located in a room that rarely gets use and our home is non-smoker with no pets. My wife knows that the top of all our speakers are off limits for decorations so nothing has been sat on top of it. I am simply eliminating it from that system and using only the 2 floor standing speakers instead since I felt the subwoofer was way more bass than I needed for that room/system. The finish is their standard “matte black paint” which has a textured look/feel and it is in great condition, please note that the lines/streaks you see on the sides in the photos are shadow reflections from the camera's external flash reflecting off of the glossy wood flooring and aren't actually on the finish. The original grille is included and is also in mint condition with all original attachment magnets fully in-tact. The subwoofer came factory equipped with an on-board plate amplifier which accepts RCA or XLR inputs (with XLR loop output) as well as offering an adjustable crossover, LF adjustment, trigger, adjustable gain, select-able power options (off/trigger, auto-on via input sensing, manual-on) and adjustable delay.     Sort of late to the thread by a couple years, but I also use the 118HT. Mine is just the flat black version though. Love your custom finished model!

  16. Price Dropped and since I spent a ton of time extra carefully boxing both back into their original boxes I am removing the RF-83 option from the original post since that is no longer available.
