  1. Stupid question time: Does putting a tv on top of a 'big' lascalla like speaker have problems assoc. with the vibrations from the speaker? I have an H3 on top of mine, I don't think it does anything, but not sure about with larger speaker, bass issues?
  2. I guess I will have to try it again when I am in front of the computer to see what the deal is. If I remember correctly, when I was on itunes, it would not show the apple tv icon as being available. Thanks for the help Paul
  3. Welcome to Klipsch.... Be very carefull. Some have known to become, well, a bit radical. Might end up with lots and lots and lots of Klipsch before too long! Paul
  4. We live in Waco. Went to 'Apple store in Dallas, asked one of the guys there. He was not sure what the problem was. I can get the apple tv to give me a 4 number code to put into i tunes on my computer, but my computer does not seem to 'see' the apple tv. It did one time, then just stopped. Do apple computers work more seamlessly with the apple tvs? I would suppose so. But PC's should work also? Paul
  5. I got one for Christmas. Have tried several times to get it to 'talk't to my PC, cannot get it to work. Frustrated with it right now... Where could I call, etc, to get help?
  6. Here is that one: A 6 year old! Man, the Brits do in fact have talent! Those contestants of course or too young or old to be on American Idol. Paul
  7. Was funny, I really could read it just about as fsat as if it was regluar...
  8. I just listened to the Paul Potts one! Amazing as well, just as many goose bumps. OK, where the Heck is American Talent????? Our contest has hot looking 18-22 year olds who can marginally sing, but look good in short skirts and tight jeans. (I will admit I really like David Cook...) We need to let plain, chubby, regular people get on our contest. I have an uncle, the one who introduced me to Klipsch many many years ago. Could be legally held responsible for my Klipsch obsession probably... He can sing like that. Can play the piano incredibly. Went on tour with Van Kliburn back in the day. He had severe mental problems, got to where he got too nervous to sing in front of people. Could have been famous with his level of talent, had those issues not plagued him. The phone salesman Paul looks like he has crowd problems too. Good for him for overcoming those and blessing the world with his talent. My uncle now lives in an assisted living center. He plays his grand piano, a Steinway that Van Kliburn owned previously to him actually, for all the little old ladies and men there. He is confident in front of them, and he gives them hours of enjoyment. Not famous. Not rich. But still at least at this point using his talent for others. Paul
  9. I just watched this again with my wife. I get freakin goose bumps each time I hear it! Sad how people are judged based on their looks, rather than on her absolutely unbelievable talent. There she was, untrained, standing on a stage, people rudely snickering at her. Didn't miss a beat, belted out a very difficult song, sung usually by professional opera singers. She could be put on the sound track for Les Mis and I would love it! Now, give Brit et al a mike. No computers helping, no pelvic thrusting allowed, etc. Now, sing that same song. Would not even touch the level this lady did. Admittedly, some modern singers can sing on their own, aka live, unassisted. Many though, no way. Not even close. I sure hope she gets a chance. She would probably record similar themed music as she sang. But I for one will keep an eye out for her. We should let each other know if she does record and post it here. Yeah, score one for the regular people! Paul
  10. OK, so it is not Brittney S. or other pretty young look alikes who can only seem to sing after their voices have gone thru tons of computer processing. This lady, rather simple in appearance so to speak, is on Britian's Got Talent. The crowd actually seems to be laughing at her dowdy appearance. Then she sings. Sings Real Good! Rather amazing vocals in fact. Get's a standing ovation. For one, I would absolutely buy her album someday. Cause on my Jubs, the voice counts, not what they look like... Still can't seem to actually 'see' any singers thru the speakers actually... http://tr.truveo.com/Lyrics-Included-Susan-Boyle-British-idol-Britains/id/3813788586
  11. Day late, but happy birthday! Still enjoying the crossovers and tweeters! Paul
  12. Can you imagine the add in Audiogon: Slight modifications made to appearance. These babies have that deep woods appeal to them that few other speakers can offer. Won't matter if you have pets near them, after a few splinters, they will learn not to rub against them. And, as an added feature, you can place them at your favorite duck pond.... They can double as a blind! Good for deer hunting too! Get your favorite tape of mating sounds out, broadcast it into the great outdoors! The wild game will come a runnin! The audiophile snobs, who like to show off their 'piano finish' and their exotic wood finishes? They will be a runnin the other way. Hurry now, huntin season will be here before we know... PS, I hope those are not someone here's speakers. If they are, well, they probably sound just fine... No, they are just plain ugly..
  13. But wait, there is more![] When people post that they wish they could hear the Jubs...[*-)] You, being the kindhearted soul that you are, could just hook up your trailer, and hit the road. Bring the Jubs to them. Might even be able to get some kind of compensation from Indy for being a Mobile Jub Demo Unit or something![Y]
  14. She's gonna put your Jubs in there. Paint: "One Man Jub Travelin Demo" on the side and put you on the road. Have to admit, it would rock as a mobile audio set up.... Paul
  15. Dude, she is gonna put all your gear in there, then claim that is your 'new' home theater room! Better watch out! And that bit about the logic with the columns... I would advise you to not go down the 'logic' road on that one... The logic of paying big ole money for all the amps, speakers, wires, etc, etc, etc, that people like us spend. Just seems like a very, very risky argument...
  16. I am so sorry about your loss. God be with you and your family.
  17. Ok, found it down at bottom... Wait, no pun intended there.... Not in top 10 yet though...
  18. Where do you even find the scores?
  19. What a great weather report!
