  1. Not many submissions. Perhaps the forum at large is still learning the alphabet? I know ... "Steve, why do you disappear so often, then come back and insult us?"
  2. @jimjimbo Jim, which of those is the kiing of peppers in regards to heat? The name Lava Red catches my interest.
  3. Locking or hiding threads should never happen. If you guys would only post what you're told to post things would run a lot more smoothly around here. This is a forum, not a place for individual thought. Comply. Comply. Comply.
  4. heard a funny story told by Kieth Richards of him loaning Mick a coat. about four in the morning, mick calls Charlie on the phone and says "where's my drummer?" a little while later there is a knock at the hotel room door, Charlie walks in grabs Mick, punches him and says "don't ever call me your dummer again." According to Richards, Mick nearly fell out a window, he grabbed Mick and Charlie says, "why did you catch him?" Richards says "because he's wearing my coat."
  5. what is the one with the really long neck ... in between the Fitz and blantons?
  6. Hope all went well with Dave's procedure.
  7. On behalf of the Colonel ... Thank You. I scored a bottle of Blanton's two Christmas Eve's ago. Liquor store was packed and I was looking around. a worker comes up and asks if I needed help. Got the usual No to the Weller and the guy said he had a bottle of Blantons in the back, so I said "I'll take it." I enjoyed it. Really, the only thing I've had which I absolutely detest and will never buy again is Four Roses. Yuk!
  8. not the lotto; but that Colonel Taylor is a big score. That is my favorite bourbon thus far. Tonight, I'm enjoying a glass of red wine called Into the fog.
  9. do I qualify? I think they're going to name the hospital after me!
  10. Yes, we may have lost a thread; but our IQs went up 25 points.
  11. Probably not 100% of my preference; but close enough. Much of this was just looking at my music library and I don't have everything (particularly no Fleetwood Mac or Bruce Springsteen). Intentionally didn’t list albums called “Greatest Hits” or “Best of …” or “Live” written before or after the band name. 99 Luftballoons - Nena 90125 -- Yes All the Best … Glen Campbell (The) Birds, The Bees & the Monkees -- Monkees Close to the Edge — Yes Day at the Races — Queen Echoes: The Best of Pink Floyd From the Inside -- Alice Cooper (Honorable Mention: Fragile - Yes) Grand Piano Tour - Rick Wakeman Headquarters — Monkees In the Flesh (Live) — Roger Waters Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of War of the Worlds Keys to Ascension 2 — Yes Live Killers - Queen. (Honorable Mention: Lace and Whisky - Alice Cooper) Machine Head - Deep Purple News of the World — Queen Obscured by Clouds — Pink Floyd Point of No Return — Kansas Queen Rock Montreal — Queen Recollections: The Very Best of Rick Wakeman Sheer Heart Attack - Queen Thank You for Coming — Downhere Up Close and Alone — Burton Cummings Viva la Vida — Coldplay (this was a reach; but V wasn't an easy letter). Wish You Were Here — Pink Floyd XOXO — The Jayhawks You Can Tune a Piano but You Can’t Tuna Fish — REO Speedwagon Got Nothing for the letter Z.
  12. anyone ever hear from Bill?
  13. So, I make one Elton John joke and now this? I actually like a couple of his songs ... Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Someone Saved My Life Tonight (although I cringe when he says Sugarbear). HIs lyricist Bernie Taupin also worked with Alice Cooper on Coop's From The Inside album ... which is one of my favorites of his. written about his stint in an asylum from his boozehound days. I think the reality of the songs gave them an enhanced meaning. Plus Coop ia just about as cool as you can get. That dude knows everyone ... from the Beatles to Elvis to Groucho Marx.
  14. no billiards nor LF here; but I had a Guinness, a Skrimshaw, and now a glass of Bulliet Bourbon. I may go get my Les Paul as I'm starting to feel very smart and talented. Peace All.
  15. I've never been in the insurance industry; but I've heard that Body Mass Index is a factor in life insurance ... not sure if it's in higher premiums or as a disqualification.
  16. I'd suggest going out for a hot dog; but I read today that every hot dog you eat takes 35 minutes off your life. Those poor souls at the Nathan's Fourth of July contest ... maybe that's why we never see old people in that contest?
  17. thanks for the explanation randy -- whew! I thought it meant we were Elton John fans. it says I'm 8/9 -- eight of nine what?
  18. @dtel you go over that thing in a barrel?
  19. I was going to; but you beat me to it. thanks -- now people will think I can't cook.
